Wild74
I feel sorry for them but the dimwits will not let this happen, it would mean two conservative senators. They would want a trade off like making DC a state which would mean two left wingnuts
DaveTV1
This is crazy.  While some of these are Americans that are homeless many of them are not some of them are protesters at Disneyland against any DACA changes that is in this area.  This tent city has been here for years, but they didn't start to discuss any removal until September of this year.  Supposedly they began some removal Monday, but this is third world country type stuff in my opinion.

Dallas?  I live in Houston and have lived in Dallas.  I've been to the poor parts of both cities.  I've only been to Austin once in my life to see the Cowboys training camp.  Other than that there isn't much to do there.  While you see many homeless on street corners in Houston almost everyone I don't know where they are living.  I know there is one mattress set up at Beltway 8 and 249, but they keep their tents and shopping carts out of sight.  I know the city has tried to crack down on it, but that has been suspended by the courts for now.  In Dallas I didn't see any tent cities, but saw some tents at the Mixmaster.  I don't see how anyone could live there, because I live about a half a mile from 249 and some of those trucks are loud and wake me up early in the morning.  I'd hate to think how bad it would be to live under a bridge.  I know there is a lot of private land that have trees that maybe some of the homeless are living at, but you don't see them much except when they're panhandling.

Hagar
I feel her pain.  The Market Basket where I shop for groceries locks up their ribeye steak.  But based on the price, I'm not surprised
DaveTV1
I don't think she's going to win anything. Â There are a lot of items that they have behind glass including the razors I buy. Â I'm not in the cosmetics aisle so I haven't seen this, but I have for other products at not just Wally world. Â I know most places have video games, tide pods, cologne, bullets and shells locked up. Â If they are high priced items I can understand, because they were probably high theft items as well. Â I'd also like to know if these products are used by other races and simply not just marketed for African Americans. Â

I will say that racist views are generally more overt in rural areas or red states. In the big cities back East the racism is couched in virtue signalling and code words.
