Bunch of flakes and sickos out there ...

They really need to watch this. It's a "re-creation" of the Twilight Zone episode "The Obsolete Man":

If anyone hasn't seen the original "Twilight Zone" episode "The Obsolete Man", I would really suggest watching it.

It's essentially the story of a totalitarian dystopia where books are banned, and the "state" has "proven" that God doesn't exist. Romney Wordsworth (played by Burgess Meredith) is a "librarian" which is considered an "obsolete" job. He's scheduled for an execution because of it. He is allowed to pick the time, place, and method of his execution. So he selects his apartment at midnight, and requests "the Chancellor" be there for his execution.

Wordsworth has a Bible, which in this universe is "contraband" and having one is punishable by death. So when the Chancellor arrives, Wordsworth locks the door behind him, remaining calm the entire time. He explains to the Chancellor that his method of execution is a bomb hidden in his residence. Wordsworth then pulls out his bible and starts reading, as his "execution" is being broadcast live on television.

Wordsworth and the Chancellor both know that the State will not come and rescue the Chancellor, and the Chancellor shows weakness and begins to panic. He screams for Wordsworth to let him out "in the name of God!"

Wordsworth does so, "in the name of God", just seconds before the bomb goes off and kills Wordsworth.

As the episode ends, the Chancellor is then stripped of his position and put on trial for being "obsolete".

New California... are they wanting to be a separate country or a new state?

The "New California" movement simply wants to be a state that breaks away from the "coastal" areas of California. They say the "coastal" area would remain "California", and their new state would be "New California".

Basically Sonoma County down to Los Angeles county, with Napa, Solano and Sacramento being "California", and everything else being "New California".

Go to this link: https://newcaliforniastate.com/new-california-map

And click the arrows until you see the "New California" image with the star (it's a yellow and blue image). The yellow would remain "California", and the blue would become "New California", the 51st State.

The "Yes California" movement wants the entire state of California to break completely away from the U.S. and form it's own country.

Yes, San Francisco is the only city where open drug use is a problem.  ( Sarcasm )

Correct. It’s widespread in places like L.A., New York, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, etc. I wonder what those cities have in common? Oh yeah, they’re all run by liberals! Explains a lot.

Not to mention the District of Columbia and Baltimore.   <shudder>

He's committed multiple crimes by stealing someone's identification.  Yet the Left is all for this.  It causes problems for many citizens when this happens, especially at tax time.

California has the highest poverty rate in the US (adjusted for Cost of Living)

Quote

Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California, where nearly one out of five residents is poor. That’s according to the Census Bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure, which factors in the cost of housing, food, utilities and clothing, and which includes non-cash government assistance as a form of income. Given robust job growth and the prosperity generated by several industries, it’s worth asking why California has fallen behind, especially when the state’s per-capita GDP increased approximately twice as much as the U.S. average over the five years ending in 2016 (12.5%, compared with 6.27%).
