Should point out that 12-6A kicks off their district schedule starting tonight with Midway @ Killeen. Definitely an interesting game to watch with how much Midway has struggled to start the season (even if last week's game was cut short).

Midway absolutely escaped Leo Buckley last night against Killeen with a 13-10 win. Killeen dominated most of the game until they had a field goal blocked when the game was 3-3....after Midway took a 6-3 lead, Killeen was stopped and ended up punting maybe a 5 yard punt. Midway put it away after that with a TD, despite the Roos coming right back with a long passing TD.

Midway's offense sounded absolutely terrible.

What a week to start 11-6A. WOW.

FINALS -
Longview 42, Rockwall 35
Tyler Lee 42, Rockwall Heath 31
Mesquite 20, Mesquite Horn 17
North Mesquite - Off

Standings after Week 1 in 11-6A
1) Longview 5-0, 1-0
2) Mesquite 3-1, 1-0
3) Tyler Lee 2-3, 1-0
4) North Mesquite 2-1, 0-0
5) Rockwall 2-2, 0-1
6) Rockwall Heath 1-4, 0-1
7) Mesquite Horn 0-5, 0-1

Longview got a huge win going forward for the district championship. Tyler Lee got a HUGE win for their playoff chances. And Mesquite, with the upset of the year so far, got a huge/huge win over the Jags.

A lot to play, but this now puts the final two playoff spots in play. I think it's clear Longview and Rockwall are making the post season. But with Horn struggling as much as they are, and staring an 0-7/0-3 start to the season with Rockwall and Longview next on their schedule, Lee/North/Mesquite are all fighting for those final two spots. It's big for the Lobos because this could easily send Rockwall to Division 2 if North and Mesq both make it in. And last night's victory could've just won them home field advantage for the first round.

This week's schedule:
Mesquite at Rockwall Heath
Tyler Lee at North Mesquite
Rockwall at Mesquite Horn
Longview - OFF

Huge 3 games this week for post season play.

Planning on attending Lee/North this week.

@GOLEE you making the trip?

I think this is a gigantic game for the Lee program. Definitely would be a huge step in the direction of making the post season if Lee can grab the W.

07 I sent you a pm

Scores tonight in 11-6A:
Rockwall 41, Mesquite Horn 35
North Mesquite 41, Tyler Lee 34
Rockwall Heath 6, Mesquite 4

Standings after Week 6:
1) Longview (5-0, 1-0)
2) North Mesquite (3-1, 1-0)
3) Mesquite (3-2, 1-1)
4) Rockwall (3-2, 1-1)
5) Tyler Lee (2-4, 1-1)
6) Rockwall Heath (2-4, 1-1)
7) Mesquite Horn (0-6, 0-2)

Crazy night in 11-6A tonight. Rockwall struggles with the winless Jags almost all night, but finally gets a 4th quarter score to put it away before Horn gets a late one to get the score closer than it was at the end. Either way, Horn is struggling overall and is heading to Lobo Stadium next week for a huge showdown and their last chance to make a real statement before the have to wins kick in (might already be there for the Jags). North Mesquite grabbed a huge win over Lee this week. Lee more than had their chances tonight, including recovering a Stallion fumble on the North 12 yard line with under 3:30 to go. But they fumbled it right back and that was that. Heath somehow kept their playoff hopes alive after upset Mesquite by a baseball score of 6-4. Just a crazy scoreline. Sounds like the Skeeters more than had their chances, failing to score inside the Heath 10 yard line three times in the first half. Just a huge win for the Hawks.

This week's schedule:
Mesquite Horn at Longview
Mesquite vs North Mesquite
Rockwall vs Rockwall Heath

Two big cross town rivalry games while Longview looks for revenge against Horn after last season's debacle.
