You will never get into positive points with posts like this.  You may hit -100 today.  The poop 💩 is about to fly!  Get ready.

I've already come up with his new screen name:  LionScat70 which is a combo of Lion + Scat + 70

Unfortunately , 6A cannot play a 4A . UIL allows 1 classification up or 1 classification down only.

I don’t believe this is fact. Case in point: Alto (2A Division 1) played Rusk (4A Division 2) the last two years. It would be fun to see Longview and Carthage play!

According to UIL rule a 6A cannot play a 4A school in non district.

Lufkin in a close one.

That is not a rule that I am aware of. There have been 6a plays 4a teams before and 4a have played 2a all the time. Newton and Gilmer playing this year. It's not ideal but not against the rules.

Newton 3A, Gilmer 4A.

I know for a fact Baytown Sterling (6A) played Brazosport (4A) in 2014 & 2015. So if there's a rule that it cannot happen it must be fairly new, can someone get the link off the UIL website if there's such a rule?

It's not a rule.

Just a rumor that started circulating on the 6A board (well 5A board back in the day) and never died.

We will have to agree to disagree OR provide a link to the rule you are referencing from the UIL website.

I agree, Lufkin in a close one! After last year’s game at SFA, this is probably the most  anticipated opening game of the season. 👍
