Now, if one wants to make the "they're not making a living wage" argument, that's different. But saying that these workers make minimum wage is a flat-out lie. It doesn't take much to do a quick online search to see that isn't true. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said unemployment is low because "everybody has two jobs" (also not factually accurate). Were they both misled as to facts, or are they both lying? They're not the only ones. I think it's most of them in Congress. But why? Is it that they assume that their constituents think that they're lying, so they do so anyway? Something in the water? Saying what they feel they have to in order to get (re) elected?
