Like Slick Willie, Betoff is an unusually good liar ... he will pull the wool over a few gullible Texans eyes ....

People will vote for him because he's "cool" (i.e. he skateboards and was in a rock band) and/or he's "Kennedy-esque" and "photogenic".

I thought we settled this arguement when Texas voted in Open Carry. His facts are about America as whole. If he wants to represent Texas - He may want to start thinking more of Texas and not the rest of the Nation.

That goes for all of our politicians. When they send you to Washington you are representing the people that voted you in. Not your personal agenda

Doesnt matter 18 days he's  a foot note

Define "property". For example, there are plenty of adults who you would want to vote but who rent property instead of owning it. I happen to be a homeowner (well, still paying the mortgage, but you get my point), but I would hate to think I couldn't vote if I were renting a house or apartment.

I found it astounding that a guy I know in the Tech Industry, and whose knowledge and insight into the tech industry I respect didn't know how long a Senator served.

I mean, this is a brilliant guy. Master's Degree in computer science from Cornell. There were things about government and civics he didn't know.

And I know this because I asked him what he thought of people having to pass a basic civics test in order to vote. I mean, if someone wants to become a naturalized citizen, there are things about our government that they need to know. So I figured a good test would be things like the length of terms for both the House and Senate, How many terms a President can serve, and the length of a Presidential term, how many branches of government there are, things like that. You could simply take the citizenship test and pare down the questions to the 10 or 15 "most important" (or something like that).

If he thinks Texans are going to vote for him because of gun control he's already lost the race.  Texas is the most heavily armed State in the Union with 35.7% of the population owning guns.  None of them will support him.  On top of that his platform is flawed from top to bottom.  Sure he'll garner the major cities, but even many of them will vote for Cruz at around 30-35%, and Cruz will take the rest of the State, except the Rio Grande Valley, and near Big Bend where the population is extremely sparse.

Didn’t we have a test that people had to pass at one point in order to vote 🤔. I wonder how that went back in the day.

Yes, and those tests were rigged.

But going by your logic, we should just do away with the citizenship test. All I'm saying is a knowledge of civics. You know. Who's the president? How long can they serve? How long is a term for the President? Questions you can pull from the civics test where there is, you know, a right answer.

It blows my mind that 30-40% of Texans would actually vote for this criminal socialist .... most of his naïve young supporters don't know a thing about what he stands for other than legalizing drugs ...

The rest of the are stupid enough to think that his platform will help U.S. citizens.
