We can redeem ourselves with a strong performance this week against a top notch program. But if we come out against Carthage like we did against Longview..... we will get it handed to us again. Louisiana has a selection committee. District champs get automatic bids. But everyone else is by invitation. Stronger districts get more teams in.... weaker districts get less. Our DBs have to learn to read receivers eyes and TURN AROUND on the outside, too. We are "slightly" better overall at this point in the season compared to last year but we're still a long way from being a contender. I think Carthage and Newton are gonna EXPOSE us if we don't get those things fixed in a hurry. As it has been for the last decade plus, we will likely lose any game where our opponent holds us under 40 points. Now that is sad. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. True that. So did Atlanta for that matter. We gave up 41 to both. I will say this, though. I think Van is legit, and is going to surprise some people in the D of D. Believe me, I also think they are the 2nd best team in that district, especially at this point in the season. They do have some depth issues, however.
