Correct me if I’m wrong since all the playoff scenarios have been discussed but couldn’t there be a 3 way tie for fourth and mean WO isn’t exactly eliminated from the playoffs just yet?

There could be a 3 way tie for 3rd & 4th but WO isn't one of the 3.

White Oak beats Sabine                                           2-4

Sabine loses to Gladewater and WO                     2-4

3 way tie for 4th

Well at that rate mine as well have Winnsboro win out and then there are 4 teams at 2-4

Yeah that’s what I see it as too. Everyone is quick to cast WO as being eliminated, even the WO independent newspaper said we were eliminated, but there could be a 3 way tie for fourth at the end of week 11. Looks like the main focus has been the top 3 spots, but people have failed to realize there could be a tie for the bottom spot as well.

Ok.

WO is at (-8). Beat Sabine by 17+ the that puts WO at +9.

Sabine is at (-17).. beat WO by 17+ then it’s “even”.

Mineola is at +25 after wins over WO and Sabine.....

Good luck not being eliminated

I still like the scenario where west rusk doesnt make the playoffs at all the most.

Lol, I was just posting the same. I knew WO & Winnsboro had officially been eliminated no matter the scenario. Thanks

Ok, if you add Winnsboro to the mix, I believe it would give WO a shot.

If those 4 teams tie at 2-4, then Winnsboro and Sabine are out. Only way Sabine finishes at 2-4 would be to lose to WO and that would put Sabine at negative points and Mineola can't finish with less than +8.

Even if Winnsboro beats WR & beats Mineola by at least 17, Winnsboro would still finish in the negative.

WO stands at +9 and has to beat Sabine and hope by enough to pass Mineola, who stands at +25. Any combination of + points for WO and - points for Mineola.

If WO beats Sabine by at least 16 they would have +25, which would give them enough no matter how much Winnsboro beats Mineola. Winnsboro would need to win by at least 1 point.

There you go Racer. Problem is can Winnsboro beat both WR and Mineola.

Haha, I had the 5 way tie figured, but I was wondering why my head has been hurting all day. It's fun. I like figuring it all out. Just getting too old to have that many numbers bouncing around up there.
