Lion1996
Alto shouldn’t have any problem. I watched us play sloppy and still score 67 in the first half against normangee
Alto44
We’ll be fine, new coach=discipline, something we’ve obviously lacked. We had problems that we are just starting to realize where worst than we thought. No bodies fault but the kids. Hopefully all the kids get a lesson from these suspensions we’ve had this year, and grow from it and don’t fall backwards in some cases. Alto 56 to 6, and move on to Garrison! My how times have changed! Not one person from Normangee to talk to! And not sure there is much to say anyway. We’ve never played them before. Their record is not that great and ours is better than last year but still not where we want/plan to be. Win this week and we double our win total from last year with 8! That’s definitely a step in the right direction.....a work in progress and still grinding! Maybe next week there will be more to say and some “jawing!” Lol Look! We made it to page 2....and Joaquin was the one who put us there!

StingEmALTO
Bi-district playoff preview: Alto to take on Normangee in Crockett By Jay Neal [email protected] (Photo Courtesy of Beverly Milner) Class 2A-I, Region III Alto Yellowjackets (7-3) vs. Normangee Panthers (5-5) 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Monte Jack Driskell Stadium in Crockett. Winner plays: Garrison vs. Groveton winner Game Notes — The Yellowjackets are back; back in the playoffs under first year skipper Ricky Meeks...The 'Jackets and the Panthers both finished the regular season with a bang as Alto has won its last four games while Normangee has tasted victory in three of its last four encounters...All of Normangee's final-three victories were by shutout...The Panthers will have to be able to stop the run to have a chance to win. Vi'Dareous High has rushed for 1,835 yards in nine games and Fred Thacker, who was Alto's leading rusher in last week's win over Union Grove, compliments High well as being the team's power runner...the Mean Sting appear to be the more talented team, but Normangee can not be discounted as the 2016 Panthers got hot in district and ended up going three rounds deep in the playoffs. https://www.jacksonvilleprogress.com/sports/bi-district-playoff-previews-rusk-to-take-on-robinson-in/article_e14bbb7e-e84d-11e8-86af-93c1e6595cb2.html

StingEmALTO
From the Jacksonville Daily Progress: Alto strolls to a 47-16 rout of Normangee By Jay Neal sports@jacksonvilleprogress CROCKETT — While “bigger, stronger, faster” are motivational words often designed to encourage some teams to excel in their off season workout programs, the three words can also be used to sum up Alto's total dominance over Normangee on Thursday night. It took the Yellowjackets just 6:24 to coast out to a 27-0 lead over the Panthers as Alto was never challenged and went on to win 47-16. The Class 2A Division I Region III bi-district win moved the Mean Sting to 8-3 on the year. Alto will take on either Garrison or Groveton in an area affair late next week. The Panthers saw their season come to a close with a 5-6 worksheet following the loss which took place on a chilly evening at Monte Jack Driskell Stadium in Crockett. By winning the Jackets presented head coach Ricky Meeks a victory in his first playoff game as a head coach.
