In 1927, Leonard Ray and Bernie McCreary tallied scores in the second quarter on pass receptions from Ross as the Loboes knocked off Gilmer 12-0 to cap a near perfect regular season. In 1933, Durham Bivins and Jim Whitten led the way, as Whitten returned a 100 yard pass interception and followed it up with a 70 yard pass touchdown as the Lobos knocked off Lufkin at Panther Stadium, 29-12. In 1938, Gladewater knocked off Longview, 26-6, at Lobo Stadium. In 1949, Jerry Stewart would steal the show for the Bears of Gladewaters with four touchdowns. After falling into a 34-7 deficit heading into the 4th quarter, Sonny Jones and the Lobos would pull to within 34-27 at Bear Stadium but that was as close as they would get as the Bears hung on for the victory. In 1955, Dub Thomas and Tony Rothrock tallied touchdowns in the first quarter and the Lobo defense would hold the Mavericks to 146 yards on the day as Longview knocked off Marshall, 31-7, at Maverick Stadium. In 1967, Longview would take a 13-6 lead into the 4th quarter against #2 Richardson, but the Eagles would dominate the 4th quarter with two Mack Roger touchdowns in a 21-13 Richardson victory at Lobo Stadium. In 1972, Jeff Brumbaugh would tally twice as Longview was held to 158 yards total on the night in a 27-0 dominating performance by the Plano Wildcats at the Cotton Bowl. In 2001, Longview and Allen would battle back and forth until the Lobos trailed the Eagles, 20-17 heading into the 4th. Joel Armstrong led the Lobos to the Allen 48 with 12 seconds to play, before the Lobos were tackled in bounds as the Allen 33 and time run out on the Longview comeback. In 2007, Mark Johnson would tally twice as Longview jumped out to a 21-0 lead over South Garland. Both teams would trade touchdowns in the 2nd half but the Lobos were not going to be denied and held on to a 28-14 victory over the Colonels in Texas Stadium. LoboFan07
I saw the Eagles against Boyd. They found a way to win a game they were pretty outplayed in in that one. Can't see them containing our speed tbh. Perry will have a field day with their secondary. Lobos roll, inside the comfy confines of the Star. Indoor Football!! Jeffersondogs96
Wow, had no idea Prosper was 6A. I remember watching them hoist the 3A trophy at old Cowboys stadium about 14 or 15 yrs ago. Oh yea, Lobos by a bunch

cowboyandchrist
Lobos by 3 or 4 touch downs. I believe that the Lobos will have an army of fans following them from all over East Texas as their teams get eliminated from the playoffs. I have seen not only on this site but from talking to people around East Texas that East Texas wants the Lobos to win the championship this year. I would love to see the following: Longview Lufkin Carthage PG All at Jerry’s House playing for and winning State Championships.
ANTI
Just a heads up, Longview fans coming from East Texas to this one better be sure to put "avoid tolls" in gps if they don't wanna pay tolls.

LoboFan07
Before we move on to Prosper, I do want to give props to the Cove fans that made that trip last night. They had more than North, Horn and Mesquite brought this season combined last night. Especially rough considering how bad it was after one quarter. But they stuck it out for the most part. Band actually was there before kickoff too unlike some of the MISD schools.

Grainraiser
No need to pay tolls if you take Central expressway instead of the toll road or George Bush. Just be glad this game is not on a Friday. There are plenty of things to do in that area pre-game. Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the US. WolverBean
Correct me if I'm wrong but Haynes now owns the season passing yardage record after last night also close to tds in season
in10sz
For those trying to avoid Dallas traffic, simply plot your GPS to Greenville and take a left at US-380. Stadium is easily accessible from there! A touch slower, but an easy drive nonetheless!! NO Dallas TRAFFIC!!
cowboyandchrist
Another thing to keep in mind, the stadium only holds 12 thousand, 6 on each side.

WolverBean
Crazy to me higher seed is away team all cause of a coin flip 🤨, eh don't really this game being both sides hold the same but usually home side holds more..

I used to live off Central Expressway (Lovers Lane) back in the day. Between the DART rail and my '90 ZXR 750, I never had problems getting around. Crazy how much that area has blown up in the last 20 years.

Parking is actually the best I've ever experienced going to a larger venue. A lot of underground parking = short walk to the stadium. Getting out kinda slow though.
