Celina did not beat a good Stephenville team because they were lucky.......even though they did get some turnovers at opportune moments and capitalized on all of them. But Argyle has too many weapons to defend against.......so Argyle should win this game. If you ask Coach Rodgers......he will be happy with any kind of win.......the margin is not important. Argyle wants to win this game without sustaining any injuries to key personnel. This is a dangerous opponent for Argyle.......they know us very well and just saw our schemes recently. They will try anything and everything to win this game. They are very physical and have some big boys on both lines. They will try to play very physical in the trenches and have some good speed at the skill positions. This game will be closer than most think. Collins Athletic Complex off the loop in Denton......a very nice stadium and excellent location for both of these schools. This game should draw a decent crowd, but not a really big one. You can figure a big contingent from both towns......not sure about any local fairweather fans at 7 pm Friday night with all the other games going on. The only things brewing in Celina are trick plays and changes in the way Celina will try to lineup to confuse Argyle. It won't work.......the Argyle coaching staff has the team well-coached to the point that any adjustments made in the game will have an immediate positive effect for Argyle. The team is very football-savvy and disciplined. Speed all over the field too. You would think Argyle is located in East Texas with all the speed on this team, LOL. regaleagle Posted November 26, 2018 Share Posted November 26, 2018 I can tell you basically what Celina is gonna do. They will try to pressure Hogeboom and double cover Dillon Carter. They will try to burn clock and force Argyle to run the ball more to burn clock and make this game go by quickly. All I can say is Good Luck with that......Celina will not be the first team to try that on Argyle. The Eagles have a multi-schemed and multi-pronged attack on offense with a stable of excellent receivers and a 4 quality RB's that each have their own style when they are called on. It's tough to defend different styles of RB's. Besides.....Hogeboom has a QB rating in the 120's for the season.......he will connect enough times to give Celina grief. Let's not forget the Argyle defense......it will be tough sledding to score on Argyle for any team. Most of the points given up this season occurred in predistrict against Stephenville and LV..........the rest were scored against the backups on defense.......except for Paris. Paris is legit.
