Jh high coordinators

Not as common in the smaller classifications but I have seen some. Usually it's just a way to give an extra stipend to get a coach to stay or help the AD hire someone. Normally their duties would include making sure the schedules are correct, parents have information as needed, inventory of equipment etc. etc. Sometimes they also get an extra "conference" period to take care of extra responsibilities. THAT makes the position very appealing. One less class prep is very nice.

Shouldn't that person take care of all transportation request?

Just curious, how many 2a or 3a schools have a jh coord and exactly what are the responsibilities?

JH Coordinators are the most important coach on a staff. These guys can take a lot of work off of a HC's plate or he can put a lot of work on a HC's plate.

If you have a good JH Coordinator then you probably have a good program.

I agree completely, and it should be someone with experience, not a fresh face just out of college.

Definitely experienced, preferably someone who has been in the business for a while and just prefers teaching the young one the basics and building a foundation for the future.

So right, content and not after the "next big job".

That is by far the best case scenario. Those folks are hard to come by and highly valued by the AD. Putting fires out and being loyal to the AD are also some things a good Jr. high Co-ordinator should be good at!!

You are correct Sir, loyal and committed are definitely high on the list. Organized and understanding, hard working, selfless and prepared are on the list.
