90's CRAZE

Recommended Posts

While in Navy in the early to mid 90's while stationed in San Diego I feel victim to the "Card Craze".   Sure wish I had that money back.

It’s amazing the difference between the 80s/90s market versus today. Mass production of the 80s/90s market has driven the value of those cards down. The current market is pretty steady.  The relic cards. The auto cards. The limited print.

I think the late 80's and early 90's killed sports card collecting.  I rarely see football or baseball cards on shelves anymore.  Usually when I do, it's the full set for like $40.  I'm amazed that 70's cards still aren't worth much, because those weren't mass produced.  Heck, I know baseball cards are worth more, but I always wondered why the market was so low for football and basketball of the 70's.
