From the Dallas Morning News

The UIL uses NCAA rules for replay, with two exceptions — there are no coaches challenges (all reviews are initiated by replay officials) and a targeting call can't initiate from the replay booth. The UIL didn't include coaches challenges because "we felt like that would put a strategy in the game that coaches haven't been utilizing all year," Elza said.

The UIL used college replay officials for its state championship games. A primary replay official, with help from a replay assistant, made the final call in the booth on each review.

look no one likes to go to Houston.....it is a dump and the armpit of Texas. (JMO)

Houston actually the best major city in Texas without question. It's by no mistake that it's biggest and not even close.

Biggest city for sure but the DFW metroplex is about a million bigger than the Houston Metro area.

Well when there are two major cities considered to be in the metro area, of course it's gonna be bigger lol

We were talking city to city though, not metro area but since that was brought up..

There are over 6.3 million in Houston metro and that's without a 2nd large city as a focal point. Even more impressive.
