88YoePride
If you're talking about Houston being a dump as a high school football town, you've got Katy, Pasadena North Shore... Good programs down there. As a whole? Yeah, any place that would elect Sheila Jackson-Lee...
OLEMAN
On 12/24/2018 at 1:40 PM, MattStepp said: From the Dallas Morning News The UIL uses NCAA rules for replay, with two exceptions — there are no coaches challenges (all reviews are initiated by replay officials) and a targeting call can't initiate from the replay booth. The UIL didn't include coaches challenges because "we felt like that would put a strategy in the game that coaches haven't been utilizing all year," Elza said. The UIL used college replay officials for its state championship games. A primary replay official, with help from a replay assistant, made the final call in the booth on each review. https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/high-school/high-schools/2018/12/22/early-results-instant-replay-texas-high-school-football-championships-uils-plan-system-moving-forward I liked it. Well when there are two major cities considered to be in the metro area, of course it's gonna be bigger lol We were talking city to city though, not metro area but since that was brought up.. There are over 6.3 million in Houston metro and that's without a 2nd large city as a focal point. Even more impressive.

cowboyandchrist
The UIL is all about money, with as much money that they lost by having the championship games in Houston. It will never go back and thank goodness. Jerrys house is the best venue by a long ways.
88YoePride
Actually, anyone who thinks Houston is the armpit of Texas (Now if you're going by actual smell.. Stink-adena doesn't help) hasn't been to Laredo or El Paso.
