Lobos now 15-4 all-time against the Indians on the court. https://lobohistory.com/basketball/gamelogs/jacksonville.html

Longview stands as the only 11-6A football squad remaining, after Mesquite Horn fell to Spring Westfield this week.

Lobos sit at a perfect 13-0, and one win away from matching the highest total of wins in a season ever by a Lobo squad.

I think JT boys beat LV the other day on a buzzer beater.

We have GOT to cool it with the random three-point attempts. Get the transition game going, move the ball around.

yea... I mean missed way too many 3’s..... would have been a blowout if made even half of them

I’d work it inside to big guy then out fir open shots..... guard play was kinda lazy at times.played a team that was not as talented or near as big.

Lobos have a nice team for east Texas. Now competing with real basketball teams is another story,

I mean, I kinda get it...  you take those 3s so the defense comes out on you, which sets up drives to the basket...  except we didn't drive to the basket enough. Just kept chuckin' up 3s. Which would be fine if we were around 50 percent. But when you're closer to 30 percent it doesn't make sense. The NBA's obsession with the three-pointer is ruining schoolboy basketball.

Yes, I agree with this 100 percent. If I recall, almost every time we worked it inside to the high post, it ended up in points. That's why I was frustrated with so many 3s. why throw up threes when consistent 2s are there for the taking?

Meh, I think we're doing okay with the cards we've been dealt. Not a tremendous amount of homegrown talent. Not like the metro suburbs ISDs who have a much much bigger population to draw from. I like our coach. I think he's doing good work to build the overall hoops program.

It's just gonna take transcendent talent (e.g. another Bobby Taylor) for the Lobos to compete with Houston/Austin/DFW in 6A hoops. No disrespect to our kids or coaches. Just facts.

I agree. That’s what I was saying. Real basketball teams. Would take more than just Bobby Taylor ... maybe 3-5 dudes like him!
