No one went to jail.  A dad got tossed for saying boo to the press box for the way they scored an error on a hit.  And it was a joke with all of the Carthage fans when it happened.  No one had said a word to the umpires the whole game.  It was 17-0 with four outs to go in the game. Carthage has led  the whole game and game was never in doubt.  LUmpire must have thought he got booed and threw the dad out.  And yes it was the same dad from earlier in the year and the same umpire that was in the field from the previous time.  The jasper paper was an over exaggeration on the cops they were not called they were there.  They walked with the two dads to the parking lot. Both dads left willingly and waited for their wives in the parking lot.  The one dad didn’t get tossed by the umpire once they were out of the fence he got  asked not to come back in.  Kind of crazy in two seasons two ejections by two guys from Carthage both come in Jasper in the same season.  Admin in charge job to regulate fans.  Especially when fans aren’t talking to an umpire.

A quick Comparison between PG and Carthage shows they are pretty close on paper and with them both splitting close games on the field it appears it would be a good match up.

PG 16-4 Runs Scored: 153, Allowed: 40 with wins over common opponents Atlanta (6-2), Marshall (3-2, 16-1), Carthage (3-2), Loss against Benton 6-2

PG's Losses: Ashdown (6-1), Bossier Parkway (4-3), Carthage (2-0)

Carthage 17-3-1 Runs Scored 155, Allowed: 55 with wins over common opponents Atlanta (13-0), Marshall (6-5, 10-6, 8-0), PG (2-0)

Carthage's Losses: Hallsville (4-0), PG (3-2), Kilgore (5-2),  With one Tie to LE (5-5) in a shortened game due to time limit.

I like PG tradition.  Can’t argue with that.  We compare our football team the same way so for me to talk bad about your statement would be hypocritical.

Quick question, how long has the pitching coach been at PG?

This is the "stat" Im most impressed with from the start of 19. And it's not like PG doesn't look to play anybody.

Fincher in 4 years 132 career wins= 33 wins a year. Nobody can say this is not impressive! WOW!

Goodwin in 4 years 67=17 wins a year

👍

We have also since 1990 been to Austin in Baseball 5 times and won it 3 times.  Baseball has been down but something special about this group.

Don't ignore Kilgore or Bullard.

Kilgore has the team to get right back to where they stumbled last year. They have another stud ace pitcher Hampton who is committed to Texas Tech and is just as good as Smitherman was. Only difference between the two is size Hampton is 6'4- 6'5ish Smitherman was maybe 6'.

Bullard has some studs also and pretty dang good all around. Wouldn't sleep on them for sure.

Now now whaom....don’t throw that out there until you are in Austin.   When that happens that means you have beaten PG in a series.   And from what I see from the past, that ain’t happening.   LOL

Good luck to the Dogs and Bullard

Huh? What are you talking about I never said anything about Austin. I basically said I wouldn't ignore Kilgore or Bullard.

Carthage 7-0 winner over  Hamshire Fannett.  Threw three pitchers for the non district game.  Only allowed 2 hits and one walk.  Carthage is now 19-3-1.  Play Hudson Tuesday night at home.

Never heard of them what's their ranking?

And were you there? I see on the books it was held in Jasper. Isn't there a couple of parents banned from Jasper including others?
