How do Y’all see the West going down this year?

It’s the Astro’s to lose. They win at least 90. Rangers will be around 75 wins this year maybe like 78.

I’m expecting anywhere in the 60 win range for the Rangers. 70 and over should have Woodward in Mangaer of the Year talk. Healthy Astros this year should be a easy 90 win team.

I think the Astros will be right around the 100 mark.   I don't see anybody other than the A's that can bust 90 and everything will have to go right for them to do that.

 

But hey....it is baseball.   Anything can happen and injuries are unpredictable

It's way far out there, but if somehow the pitching staff can come back close to healthy, the Rangers are going to be better than just about everyone is giving them a chance to be. The offense was right around the midpoint in the AL. If they put up those same numbers, they'll atleast be competitive.

Man I don't wish any fan base to go through what we did.   But on paper the Rangers may have even a tougher time. The minor league system doesn't look good and I really don't see the pitching staff having a lot of upside. The Astros were ahead of the curve in gutting and tanking. There is a lot of it going on now, so it looks like it will be a harder thing to do at this point.

I could see us winding up more like Kansas City or Detroit.

The only way to rebuild quickly is to spend money going through the draft and filling the minor league teams up with good prospects is a long process.

If the over-under is 70...I'm tempted to take the over. The least they have won in the last 20 years in 67. I don't think this is a historically bad team. Or atleast I sure hope not.

The West isn’t that strong. I think I said 75-78 wins but 70-73 wins is more realistic. We shall see.

I think the Astros win the West, but the A's are sneaky good. I have no idea how, but I wouldn't count them out. I have the Rangers around 65 wins.

It looks like only me, KirtFalcon, Topher85, and Wild74 were correct on the Astros.  I didn't care about the Rangers and how many games they won.  I just knew they wouldn't make the playoffs.  I still think it's strange that with 7 games left the only American League Team that has clinched a playoff spot is the Astros with 100 wins so far.  My other favorite team is knocking on the door though.

Rangers have been surprisingly pretty good.   The problem I see here is can u really expect Minor and Lynn to duplicate their good years.   Minor looks solid.   Lynn I’m not so sure about

I had guessed right at a hundred.  Never dreamed Verlander & Cole wouldn't miss hardly any time & sure didn't imagine Miley being as productive. Add Greinke to that & I sure undershot it.
