If you don't want Socialism,  then come up with alternate ideas.

You say Socialism doesn't work,  but neither has Capitalism.   Greed has always killed both systems.

How has greed killed capitalism ?  It's been the added socialist programs that have hindered it.  Yet we still have grocery stores packed with food and toilet paper.  You really need to study the true effects of socialism instead of your perceived truths about it.  https://www.nytimes.com/1982/01/15/world/soviet-food-shortages-grumbling-and-excuses.html   .

What helped bring Communism to an end in the Soviet Union.  In part someone that wanted to change his country to be like a grocery store in Houston, TX :  https://www.chron.com/neighborhood/bayarea/news/article/When-Boris-Yeltsin-went-grocery-shopping-in-Clear-5759129.php .  Sure there aren't many Randall's around anymore, but H.E.B. is the Houston choice now as Randall's once was.  Within three miles of my home I have a Dollar Store, Dollar General, Kroger, Wal Mart, Aldi's,  Fiesta,  La Michoacana, a 99 cent store, and this place that I won't name here, because of it's name.  What the lady says in the first comment on it's page is true.  I've stopped in their one time, and will never do it again.  That place stunk to high heaven :

The lack of answers on healthcare is driving people way left on this issue.  Dems are pushing Medicare-4-all.  Republicans are afraid to even talk about it.   So which is the only different option being advertised right now.

I don't know where you get your information but practically every republican I know has come out against Medicare for all .... many republicans have said it would cost 31-32 trillion over ten years and even the dimwit libtards know we can't afford it ...

Republicans are scared to talk about a solution , or leave healthcare like it is..  Healthcare is a losing subject for Republicans.

Greed kills because the CEOS and investors have to keep making more and more money.  No amount of salary is enough.  To make more money numerous corporations have really slowed or even stopped giving employees pay increases so they can make money.  Middle Class Americans barely float above water.  America top 1% wage earners own as much as 40% of Americans .  When the "trickle down " economy stops trickling, the system flips.  Inflation is increasing in a much faster rate than the wages are increasing for a huge majority of Americans.  So don't be surprised when people give up on Capitalism.     .

Simple question: You wake up tomorrow, and you're offered the CEO job of a large corporation. That entails tens of millions in salary, and possibly even more in stock options.

Do you turn down the money?

You're conflating "health insurance" with "health care". Eating vegetables is a good idea. That doesn't mean there should be a law mandating that everyone eat vegetables.

As far as health insurance goes, there have been ideas put out there by Republicans and Conservatives that could likely bring costs down (and not just reduce the amount of increase), but others don't want to hear it.

Wrong again, republicans want to talk common sense healthcare reform.  The dimwits want government controlled "free" healthcare for everybody including illegal aliens ... plain and simple ....

Kicking people off healthcare that had pre-existing conditions by denying or raising their rates were they couldn't  afford it was their plan.

Republicans & common sense don't belong in the same sentence.

Not quite.

How about allowing companies to compete across state lines? That would make for more competition. What about allowing doctors to also have the option to take cash payments for some things if they choose to? If I'm not mistaken, data shows that if we allowed doctors to take cash payments for certain things, that would also lower costs.

Why do we need to present our insurance cards just for a visit (a checkup, for instance)? Why is there now a law that mandates I have health insurance? Car insurance is mandatory -- but only for those who drive.

Why can't we use a similar model to car insurance? I understand the human body isn't a car, but think about it: When you replace a part on your car, you don't file it on your car insurance. If your windshield wipers wear out, you purchase another pair and put them on. You don't even bother filing that with your insurance. If you take your car to a mechanic to get something repaired (say, you need a new oxygen sensor), you don't file that on your car insurance. How expensive do you think car insurance would be if that happened?

If I go to the doctor because of an ache or because I don't feel well, why shouldn't I be able to pay cash for that if I can?

There was a story a few months back (last year sometime I believe) of a doctor who basically wanted to do a "subscription" model, and charge his patients something like $30/month. They could then visit him as often as they needed.

Courts told him he couldn't do that.

Why didn't the Republicans put it up for vote ? They weren't serious about it.

So why don't you tell me what you think of those proposals?

And I'll also ask again, in case you missed it last time: If you're against capitalism, and If you were offered the CEO job of a major corporation, that came with millions in salary and possibly millions more in stock options, would you take the job? And if so, would you take the millions in salary and options?

The rich still create the jobs that are available.  If you don't have a job what is better living in poverty with Socialism or having a job created by a 1% person that allows you to feed your family, take vacations, and have healthcare.  I know I'm doing better with the trickle down than with nothing from the Government.  Thank You, President Trump.  I can't say the same for President Obama, he did nothing for me.  I'd much rather have a job and provide for myself, than have the Government tell me what I should have that is less than what they can afford.

You are delusional ... most successful large companies are doing exactly the opposite, they provide good jobs and very good wages and benefits ... Capitalism doesn't mean everyone is treated equally, you have to get out there and compete and better yourself.  If you want to, you can succeed and be successful.   That's what I taught both of my sons, and both have been very successful, like I was and my dad and grandfather .... I have no doubt that my grandchildren are being prepared for an America full of opportunity in a capitalistic society .... Socialism is nothing but equal misery for the sheep provided by an inefficient and uncaring government ... I can't believe people are so ignorant they can't see the difference ....
