The other thread was meant to celebrate our state championship, but it's turned more into a 2019 pre-season thread, so thought I'd just actually start this:

2019 schedule
08/23 - vs Texas High (scrimmage)
08/30 - at Lufkin
09/06 - vs Marshall
09/13 - at John Tyler
09/20 - West Monroe (in Shreveport)
09/27 - vs Rockwall
10/11 - at Mesquite Horn
10/18 - vs Rockwall Heath
10/25 - at North Mesquite
11/01 - vs Tyler Lee
11/08 - at Mesquite

Is our schedule for 2019 pretty much set in stone? I see Duncanville announcement they playing a "national ranked team" out of DC next year we should try and find one if schedule isn't already set 🤷

It's solid. Only game that can somewhat be changed is the Ruston game but I highly doubt it changes.

Was hoping ou would offer..

Same, but doesn't matter now. The New England Patriots could offer. Haynes is Baton Rouge bound.

Ain't even mad. It's what he wants. I'm proud of and happy for him, and his family.

He's a perfect fit. A classic pocket passer, who has wheels to escape the pocket and pick up first downs. He's got a large frame and could easily hold 230 pounds without losing mobility.

Well, LSU has 2 4 star QB's already committed in that 2020 class. Just a heads up.

It was a two-offer Sunday for Longview 2020 defensive lineman Sawyer Goram-Welch.

SMU and Air Force became the third and fourth offers for the rising junior on Sunday.

The two-offer day is part of a busy spring for Goram-Welch, who will attend junior days at Texas on February 17 and Oklahoma State on March 2.

Well it's official we playing in Shreveport vs west Monroe Sept 20th

Good move.  Going to be a good test for Longview. West Monroe is one of the few teams in Louisiana that has a 6a enrollment, and they will provide competition similar to top 6a competition in Texas.

Longview quarterback Haynes King was invited to the Under Armour All-American Game after a strong day today in Dallas.

Goram-Welch and Meredith also had good days. Really can't wait to see the Meredith era officially start in the fall....he's going to be the most exciting back we have had in a while (which says alot).
