Not even a mention of Muslims murdering over 20 Christians in Nigeria

Dr. Robert J. Cottrol is the editor of the book “Gun Control and the Constitution: Sources and Explorations on the Second Amendment.” And Cottrol, a Second Amendment expert and legal historian, is the Harold Paul Green Research Professor of Law at George Washington University. He says the words “well regulated” refer to proficiency and top-notch training.

“This was written at a time when there was relatively little in the way of formal training in marksmanship on the part of armies and usually less on the part of militias,” Cottrol said. “The idea was that familiarity gained with weapons in private pursuits would translate into a militia that could be mobilized when needed.”

Isn’t there a part about loving your enemies? As we did years back we can play the tit for tat game, it gets us no where. I don’t care if you own guns or the next guy but felons forfeit their rights to them and mentally ill are just that ill and should have their rights suspended so they don’t hurt others or themselves. You don’t believe that and instead believe everyone should be wearing a gun walking around, something I believe is opposed to what Jesus taught

#1. It sounds as though you know little about what Jesus taught. I’d love to share it with you.

#2. By adopting the left-wing mantra of “common sense gun laws” you have placed yourself in conflict with the Constitution. The Constitution was written to limit the power of government, not the rights of citizens. The 2nd Amendment makes no exceptions for “mental illnesses” or a person’s criminal record. If you have a beef with my stance being aligned with the Constitution, take it up with the men who wrote it. You are more than welcome to continue taking the side of tyrants like Mao, Hitler and Stalin, all of whom believed in what you and other leftists call “common sense gun laws.”

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!

I know of his teachings. Ok educate me. Feel free to use the verse from Luke as well. Make sure you include the context of please. I would love to be taught where Jesus taught about guns and how we need to have them with us at all times. I will keep an open mind but don’t get angry if I ask questions.

as for defending the rights of those mentally ill to have guns. I believe you should help arm some paranoid psychotic persons. Allow them in your home with your family. Wasn’t this the same argument for refugees? So do it. After that arm some felons and do then same.

When a person defends a mental ill or felons right for a gun it appears insane to me. Now you can name call if you like but it sure hurts discussion. So I guess you agree with Richard Spencer’s views? I mean as long as we are lumping right? Or would you rather have an adult conversation

I’m not sure an adult conversation is possible with you, but hey, I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge. First of all, I’m pretty sure Jesus never mentioned firearms, seeing how the musket wasn’t invented for a good thousand years or so after he walked the earth. The verse from the gospel of Luke that WHF1 quoted was from a meeting with his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane shortly before he was arrested to be tried and crucified. Jesus was not a violent man. Quite the contrary. His ministry was of love. God’s love was the sole purpose for Jesus coming to the world: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” At any time throughout the process of His trial, crucifixion and death, Jesus could have called out to God to end it, and He would have sent an army of angels to destroy the world and set His Son free. But Jesus knew that he was the only path to salvation for a sinful world, so he endured the cross and died for my sins and yours. Now, as far as the verse about the sword, Jesus knew that his closest followers would face persecution after His death and departure from the earth, and He expected them to be able to defend themselves. It’s worth noting that when the arrest party confronted them in the Garden, Peter drew his sword and sliced off the ear of one of the arresting soldiers. Jesus, stopped him, picked the ear up and put it back on.

More to come.

Trueblue, tell me exactly what I did to you in the past to cause your reactions to me? I asked before and you avoided so please tell me what it was that I have said that makes you believe what you believe about me

Simple: YOU VOTE FOR AND SUPPORT PEOPLE WHO HATE FREEDOM. The farther a government, politician, or voter gets from the Constitution of the United States of America, the less FREEDOM we ALL have. Your support of those who oppose the Constitution (just to be clear, I’m talking about anyone who is affiliated with the democrat party, and probably at least 75% of the current Republican Party) is detrimental to the FREEDOM of ALL of the people of this country, myself and my family included. Other than that little tidbit, I kinda like you, even if you are a little squirrels. However, disagreeing with someone on political issues will not stop me from sharing the gospel with you.

It would seem that he was saying to them be able to defend themselves because there would be persecuted in the very near future. And you are correct Jesus never did speak on firearms nor on killing or hating others. Man thanks for educating me.

As for your first comment you have called me numerous names why? Why do you feel the need to spread hate when you believe so strongly in the love of Jesus? Would your reaction to a simple forum post be an item Jesus would say attack for? Because I don’t believe mentally ill or felons should have guns would Jesus then say trueblue is correct and right in attacking the other person?

How sad that we live in a world where people will spout off bible verses and then attack a mans person due to politics, much of which the other has no clue on the real beliefs of the other.

That’s exactly what He was saying to them. Followers of Christ continue to face persecution today, and the church shootings in Charleston and Sutherland Springs are a minute part of it. The Bible tells us that this will continue to get worse as we near the end time. Example: in the past few years, in a country that was founded and built on religious freedom, we’ve seen Christians targeted for financial ruin by the left when they stood firm on their beliefs. At some point, Christians will be faced with confirming or denying their faith. For some, it will mean losing their lives. The politicians you support have enabled this process to be sped up, and we’ve seen our freedom eroded because of it.

See what you mean is that I don’t agree with you 100%. I am not a far right which is your belief. You hate those who do not agree with you and yes years back you said that.

and just so you understand when a person says they don’t care about the Muslims who died but the. Try to use the Bible as Dave did it comes off as far right semi Christian not biblical Jesus Christianity.

#1. As I’ve stated before, I don’t hate anyone, even people who disagree with me on every issue. It’s not worth my time. To quote the civil rights leader Medgar Evers “Hate is worthless. Half of the people you hate don’t know it, and the other half don’t care.” Smart man.

2. I could care less if you agree with me. It’s a free country, at least as long as there are enough people like me in it to cancel out the votes of people like you. I’ve stated repeatedly that your views are in direct conflict with the Constitution. You have yet to prove me wrong.

3. As far as the Muslims who died, it breaks my heart that those people died worshipping a false god. If you don’t understand that, dust off your Bible and read the book of Revelation.

I voted for Reagan, Bush, Jr, and McCain, they furthered it?

Look you hate those who don’t agree with your views just admit to it and then be done with it. You want those who agree with YOUR VALUES based on YOUR OPINIONS. All others are wrong.

My values are based on the Bible and the Constitution, in that order. No hate here, but it sounds like you’re building up quite a bit of rage over there. Would you like me to arrange a counseling session for you with WHF1? Kirt said it changed his life!

Tell me my views that conflict with the constitution. I asked before you ran instead of answering

1. Your lack of support for the 2nd Amendment is all the conflict I need to see. The Constitution is kinda like the Bible: you can’t pick and choose which parts of it you want to believe. That’s about as directly as I can put it. If it helps, I typed it slow for you.

I have no rage going.

Funny years back a few on here attacked Muslims for saying they put Koran before any country.......

you are welcome to you beliefs but one of those in your second part is the freedom of religion.

Correct. Christianity is worthless if it is forced on people. Interestingly enough, Muslims want to force their religion on others and kill the ones who don’t accept it. And yes, I’m well aware of the crusades. That doesn’t make anything being done today ok.

So because I don’t want mentally ill or felons (isn’t that a law) having guns I don’t support the constitution.

As for picking and choosing, many self righteous “Christians” have been doing that for 100s of years

I thought you weren’t into lumping?

As far as your gun laws, the Sutherland Springs shooter was a convicted felon, from a domestic incident while he was in the Air Force. Your gun laws failed to stop him from purchasing a gun. Your gun laws only affect law-abiding citizens. Therefore, they are worthless in addition to being unConstitutional.

It is a false religion built on wealth and power however claiming all Muslims want to kill non believers is also a false statement

Of course it is. With people, and what they believe, there are no absolutes. That would be like saying that all “Christians” are going to heaven. Truth be known, there’s a whole bunch that ain’t. There are multiple quotes of Jesus stating exactly that. However, my problem isn’t with the peaceful Muslims you describe. My problem is with the ones who seek to undermine the Constitution by claiming to be offended at everything this country stands for. I also don’t trust anyone who hates bacon. And before you say it, yes, I know, I would make a terrible Jew. God knew what He was doing when He had me born into a Baptist family.

You described a small group of people and I would say there are about as many Jews or “Christians”  just look at westboro and before you say they are not Christians there are Muslims who claim the radicals are not Muslims

I’ll be honest. I don’t know a lot of Jewish folks. As far as the Westboro looks, they won’t show their face in a real Christian Church. Truth be known, THEY know they’re not Christians. They use their message of hate as a scam to make money. They’re a family full of slip-and-fall lawyers, which tells me they’re probably democrats. I know this second hand I guess you could say. I have a friend who is a member of the Patriot Guard, which is a group of bikers (mostly military vets) that provides motorcycle escorts for soldier’s funerals. They formed as a way to create a barrier between the Westboro protesters and the family of fallen soldiers as they bury their loved ones. They did extensive research on Westboro. Total scam artists.
