A Siena College poll of New York State voters found that Ocasio-Cortez's favorability is underwater, with 31 percent viewing her favorably and 44 percent viewing her unfavorably. Those results mirror national polling from Gallup and Fox News, which found that Ocasio-Cortez has a net approval rating of -10 and -13 points, respectively. Ocasio-Cortez notably struggles even with some members of her own party, with 30 percent of New York Democrats viewing her unfavorably. Siena also found that voters are not happy with Ocasio-Cortez's opposition to the New York City-Amazon deal, which two-thirds of New Yorkers supported, according to the poll. "More people think that Amazon, Governor Cuomo, Mayor de Blasio, the State Senate, and local Queens activists were villains in this saga than they were heroes," wrote pollster Steven Greenberg. "However, voters say the biggest villain was Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Only 12 percent call her hero, while 38 percent label her a villain." I actually think their best shot with be with Biden, but I don't think he'll run. No, the first and foremost important factors are cultural. And that isn’t new. Fifty years ago it was Jews disproportionately filling these schools. The Asian community in New York City puts enormous value in education. This explains a lot of the disparity. This is just expected of these kids, and they value it. More than that, Asians in New York City have a higher rate of two-parent households. This is an incredible advantage for their children academically. It fosters engagement with classwork and homework, and the ability for parents to spend more time focused on their children’s education. This is an issue the left just refuses to admit is a problem. Otherwise, it’s completely fair game to call a vote on legislation she introduced and championed. Whining that the Republicans are making Democrats stand behind her bill is just dumb. Shouldn’t voters know what their representatives do and don’t support? The Senate is doing the right thing by calling her bluff and holding a vote. As we approach 2020, the American people need a crystal clear view of exactly just how crazy the Democratic party has become. And she graduated cum laude from a University in Boston. I know Universities have dropped any pretense of being institutions of higher learning, and are now big business, but are our colleges so easy now that any moron can get a degree? Certainly appears so. This SNAFU, plus her many others, is evidence that the old saying, Better to be quiet and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt, is true. Cum laude? She would’ve never graduated from Lamar in the early 60’s. Doubt she’d been allowed to attend. In fairness to the University itself, there are ways a student can obtain good grades, like after hours liaisons with their professor. And there’s a reason that she, with this impressive degree, was a waitress in a bar. And now she’s in Congress? Cum laude my buttocks. More like......
