The Mean Sting (6-0, 1-0), unofficially, held the Wildcats (1-5, 0-1) to under 50 yards in total offense. The Alto defense kept Big Sandy's offense off of the scoreboard in the final half. Alto, who is 5-0 all-time versus Big Sandy, will host Price-Carlisle on Oct. 18. Leading tacklers for the Yellowjackets were Cayle Irvin (12), Foster Hall (11) and Harmon West (10). Vi'Dareous High rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown while West threw a couple of touchdown strikes (52-yards to High, 18-yards to Todd Duplichain). Aaron Skinner also had a big night, scoring two rushing touchdowns and running for 88 yards. NEXT UP — The Price-Carlisle Indians (1-0 in district) are scheduled to roll into Alto on Friday. The Yellowjackets (6-0, 1-0) opened conference play by shelling Big Sandy, 41-14, last week. Head coach Ricky Meeks' Mean Sting are preparing to host Price Carlisle (4-2, 1-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
