Didn't college education start to sky rocket when the government started offering guaranteed student loans... who came up with the loan plan and I bet the government Makes a bunch of $ off this. Can we just go a consumption tax of say 20% maybe 22%? Do this only if we do away income tax and social security taxes as well... this is waaaayyyy to simple and does away with more self righteous bureaucrats, and its employees

This is exactly why people don't take Kool-Aid guzzling leftists seriously. Virtually no actual thought given to actual logic of or solutions to these complaints.

I see I'm not the first intelligent person to address these with common sense.

All leftists can come up with is "Put it under government control! Get taxpayers to fund it!"

FIGURE OUT WHY COSTS KEEP GOING UP AND STOP IT.

You nailed it Yeoman. Dem Democrats be Commanists!

Here's a couple  for you Larry. Something all rational and intelligent people should agree upon:

  •      The problem is not that the American people are under taxed, the problems is the federal government over spends and borrows beyond it's means ...
  •      Career politicians in Washington have bloated the size and scope of the federal government into something our Founding Fathers never envisioned ...

Amateur Hour continues, as there is very strong evidence that there have been regular conversations on unsecured phones. You would think both would know better from their Mob days...

Trump reportedly spoke with Giuliani on unsecured cellphone lines that were likely tapped by Russia spies

Business Insider [email protected] (Tom Porter),Business Insider 2 hours 29 minutes ago

  • President Donald Trump has been communicating with his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani on unsecured cellphone lines exposed to surveillance by Russian intelligence, The Washington Post reported Friday.
  • John Sipher, the former deputy chief of Russia operations at the CIA, told The Post that in failing to secure their communications, Trump and Giuliani had effectively "given the Russians ammunition they can use in an overt fashion, a covert fashion, or in the twisting of information."
  • Giuliani has played a leading role in seeking damaging information on Trump's behalf about the Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden from former Ukrainian officials, a search that is now subject to an impeachment investigation.

President Donald Trump has communicated with Rudy Giuliani on unsecured personal cellphone lines that were almost certainly being monitored by Russian intelligence, current and former US officials told The Washington Post.

According to phone records released by the House Intelligence Committee this week, Giuliani regularly communicated with several key Trump administration officials and most likely the president himself using his cellphone while he sought damaging information from former Ukrainian officials on the Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden.

But according to intelligence officials who spoke with The Post, there is no indication that Giuliani's phone was encrypted or otherwise protected from surveillance by foreign powers.

An administration official, who was not named in Friday's report, said that Trump regularly talked to Giuliani and others on unsecured lines.

"It happened all the time," the official told The Post. Another aide described Trump's habit of using unsecured cellphone lines as a "bonanza" for foreign intelligence.

Trump talks to Putin by phone

Officials told The Post that intelligence agents could have used information gleaned from the calls to feed selected disinformation to Giuliani via Ukrainian assets.

In recent weeks Republican lawmakers and the president have defended a groundless theory reportedly seeded by Russian intelligence that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 presidential election. Trump requested in a July 25 phonecall with Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky that sparked the impeachment probe that Ukraine investigate the theory.

Giuliani again traveled to Ukraine this week and met a lawmaker from the pro-Russia Party of Regions.

John Sipher, the former deputy chief of Russia operations at the CIA, told The Post that in failing to secure their communications, Trump and Giuliani had effectively "given the Russians ammunition they can use in an overt fashion, a covert fashion, or in the twisting of information."

He said Russian intelligence agencies most likely had more information on what Trump and Giuliani discussed in the calls than House impeachment investigators.

"Congress and investigators have call records that suggest certain things but have no means whatsoever of getting the actual text" of what was said, Sipher said. "I guarantee the Russians have the actual information."

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

So, from last year, was Politico lying, also? Or the NY Times...all over the place, and yet 'conservatives' want to ignore the implications of it. Why is that?

Because the New York Times and Politico have been caught in as many lies as the Washington ComPost......

Funny how Larry wasn't concerned about the Hilldabeast's REAL illegal communications, but jumps all over the phony stuff about President  Trump ....

Why is this phony? Why are you in such denial that he chafes under normal, appropriate requirements for security? You claim to be a military veteran, yet you don't care that he has no understanding, in fact, disdain for basic procedures to safeguard our national security?

We would like to think that the government makes money on student loans, but when 1.2 trillion of student loans are in default, no one, especially the American taxpayers are making money on these loans. In fact, it just proves that college is overrated and that another government program DOES NOT WORK.

Your hatred for President Trump and your blatant double standard and your absolute refusal to even acknowledge the corruption of anything done by dimocrats is astounding  ... even if this story has a shred of truth, it pales in comparison to known dimocrat corruption and mishandling of classified communications  .... President Trump could easily justify sanctioned off the normal tracks of communications due do the deep state corruption and leaks of his communications that is STILL ongoing.  If I were him, I wouldn't be using any standard communications systems until the leaks and corruption is under control and the guilty people are brought to justice.  You obviously know nothing about OPSEC and COMSEC tactics and procedures.  All presidential communications I am sure are under strict lock down, and rightly so due to ongoing dimocrat and deep state leaks and corruption  ....

Yawn...Schiff is in legal trouble for using phone records without a warrant.

He was probably involved in leaking the story.  In essence if Trump and Guiiani did use unsecured phones are the Russians going to help the Democrats in 2020 as they attempted to also do for Hillary in 2016 ?  If one recalls all of the stories about Russian meddling in the 2016 election, they didn't choose one side or another to supposedly help.  They  did for both teams.  I saw neither for either of them.  All I saw was the Wikileaks stories, and they were simply telling the American people what was going on.  In my opinion, Julian Assange  should not be charged for exposing the truth to the American people of the double dealings of the corrupt Socialist Party.  Did it help Trump, maybe on a small scale, but not on a major scale.  She was supposed to win in a near landslide, and the Socialists are still upset that she didn't win.  They simply forgot the silent majority of America that are conservative.

However the American version of Democracy were far different.  Perhaps you should read "De la democratie en Amerique" by Alexis de Tocquerville .  Oddly enough he predicted the downfall of America, which the Socialist Communist Democratic Party has already employed :  “The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.”
Alexis de Tocqueville    “Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”
 Alexis de Tocqueville

You left out The Magna Carta...
