Did Jesus support socialism? Do the teachings of Jesus Christ condemn the accumulation of wealth while pushing for the equal distribution of resources? Lawrence Reed, president of the Foundation for Economic Education, explains the misconceptions surrounding Jesus teachings

Great video, thanks for posting.

This should have been posted with the other post from a few months back that asked the same question.  I too have seen this video, and it's accurate.  Jesus Christ definitely would not be supporting Socialism today or Communism.

exactly, never once did Jesus ever say "Take your wealth and distribute it equally among all of the villagers that did nothing to earn it."  However, he encouraged the rich to not hold their wealth in high regard and to use it to HELP THE POOR, FEED THE HUNGRY, HELP THE NEEDY.  He did tell a man that coveted his possessions to give it all up and follow Christ.   That's not socialism... that was Jesus encouraging him to give up his god and worship and obey the one and only God.

You are right. This young man's idol was wealth and possessions whereas for others their idol could be totally something different. As you said, the point was to only follow God no matter what we need to give up.

How was the Prager U video contrary to what the teachings of Jesus Christ were ?  It's sort of amazing that someone thinks they're God, and they're a liberal that thinks they understand God and what He has told us in the Scriptures.

Just watching the highlights for the Deblasio/Hannity conversation last night.

I have to ask my liberal friends one simple question. What is a rich person's "FAIR SHARE"?  I would for some to at least give a percentage of one's income.

I believe everyone should pay a flat rate and “Uncle Sugar” needs to learn to live within a budget.

You call me a lib but you know I want a flat tax no deductions.

I don't think I called you a liberal today. But I understand I probably have in the past.

What would be your flat tax rate? I have slept since the last time you posted it. LOL
