So instead of reading some article with someone's personal opinion thrown in, let's take a look at a few facts. When Hitler finally took over in Germany--did he put his nation back to work? did he not have something similar to the USA's Civilian Conservation Corps--where young men worked in the country-built things like the Autobahn & etc....Wasn't that the country controlling the means of production? Hitler put the manufacturing of military stuff back into the works also, building tanks, cannons, airplanes, etc...... Was that capitalism, or was it the government controlling the means of production again? So many of the things that Hitler and the Nazis did as they tried to get themselves out of the Great Depression were very governmental. As they were in the USA under Roosevelt, but a lot of the early programs of Roosevelt were declared unconstitutional until he added people to the Supreme Court and all of a sudden these socialistic programs were made available. But there is a distinct difference, the USA has stayed for the most part a capitalistic country with some socialistic programs thrown in. Many of which are very burdensome on the taxpayers. While Hitler and the Nazis did indeed control all the means of production and most of the ownership of most of the countries industries, until the end of World War 2. Just imagine what would have happened had Hitler NOT invaded Poland in 1939 and waited until he had the bomb of mass destruction before trying to conquer the world.
