player73 Posted August 4, 2019 Share Posted August 4, 2019 Opening game for Teague that kicks off a brutal first 5 games of the season. After the # 2 ranked Tigers, they get Mexia,Lorena, Hempstead in non district and open district with # 1 Grandview. They went 1-4 last season in these games but then went 4-1 in the rest of the regular season before losing to a very good Troy team in the playoffs. Guest Tiger03lb Posted August 31, 2019 Share Posted August 31, 2019 14-14 half 1st half Malakoff probably had one of the worse 1st qtrs ever. Probably had 6-8 penalties in the 1st half alone, probably over 10 penalties in the first half and couldn't get anything going from them. We could move the ball just killing ourselves with them. Drop passes as well. Finally started to wake up after we made a stop on defense and got a good series in. As for Teague They are better than everyone had thought. Qb is good, has a good arm, and they have a good size line. Rb is a hard runner and can break tackles. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Good learning experience for this group. 2nd half adjustments were good. We still got some stuff to work on but not bad overall. But I think we got a new record for penalties in a game. Really got to work on that and getting the ball out faster. Teague will be a good team this year. They got some size on the line, qb is quick and can run and throw the ball. Rb is tough. Teague will surprise some folks for sure. Glad this was a clean game this year, it's usually the other way around. Driskell won his 100th game as a HC starting in his 11th season. All with Malakoff.
