LoboFan07
Haven't seen much from other 11-6A basketball scores yet. Tyler Lee was 2-0 after beating Forney, 62-45, on Tuesday. Mr. P
A really sweet article on the end of the Haynes King era at Longview: Quote Haynes King walked out of the door at the Lobo Den one final time on Monday afternoon, loaded up the truck and left, not forgetting where he came from but looking ahead to what comes next, a new chapter to work on and a new door to open.

Full Game Log:https://lobohistory.com/basketball/lobos/gamelogs/tylerlee.html Longview hosts Mesquite on Friday. Lee dropped to 10-12 (0-3) with the loss. Going into last night, here the standings... 1) Rockwall (14-9, 3-0) 2) Mesquite (8-10, 2-0) 3) Longview (18-6, 2-1) 4) Mesquite Horn (15-9, 1-1) 5) Rockwall Heath (12-11, 1-2) 6) Tyler Lee (10-11, 0-2) 7) North Mesquite (6-13, 0-3) Maxpreps has Mesquite winning 47-40 last night over Rockwall, Rockwall Heath winning 53-50 over Mesquite Horn and of course we know Longview won 56-54. LoboFan07
The Lady Lobos dropped their school record 7 consecutive game last night to Tyler Lee, 37-28. Ever since Longview upset Rockwall, the ladies have seen their season come completely off the rails...leading to some bad records to break. It was their 7th straight loss, school record. They tied a school record for 4th straight district loss (has only happened 5 times in school history). And last night was Tyler Lee's 5th straight win over the Lady Lobos, a series record. Lee's win was also their third straight in Longview, first time that has ever happened. Full Game Log:https://lobohistory.com/basketball/ladylobos/gamelogs/tylerlee.html Longview is now 66-22 all-time against Tyler Lee. ANTI
Still dont think we get pass the burbs in the end, but I remember telling @gtee2 during football season that we would have the best bball team we've had in many years. So much length on that team. And there's more coming up. Been a good season for them so far. Between Jalen Hale (WR in football) and JT Wright (WR/S in football) that's two 6'3 freshmen alone. And Judson has a lot of length coming from MS.
LoboFan07
Longview was very sloppy tonight, I won’t lie. But you could tell in the first two minutes of the game how much better of a team we were than the Skeeters. I’m intrigued to see how we play against Rockwall, as Mesquite beat them and I’ve always just assume Rockwall will dominate us in every other sport not called football. We’ve played a pretty difficult schedule to be honest with a lot of our losses coming to ranked teams, though Horn has completely fallen off since they beat us. I believe Hachie was up into the top 5 last time I looked and we lost by four to them. I don’t know as much about b-ball as I do football, but I don’t think we’re as overpowered against the Metroplex as we usually are this season. Though, we do have a very, very short bench (3 tonight). So hopefully depth doesn’t become an issue at some point.
LoboFan07
Closing in on the end of season for basketball. Here's what I know. Last night's results (in boys basketball) saw Longview defeat North Mesquite, Mesquite Horn defeat Rockwall Heath and Rockwall defeat Tyler Lee. Mesquite had a bye. BOYS STANDINGS 1) Rockwall (18-11, 7-2) 2) Mesquite Horn (20-10, 6-2) 3) Longview (22-8, 6-3) 4) Mesquite (11-13, 5-3) 5) Rockwall Heath (16-13, 5-4) 6) North Mesquite (7-18, 1-8) 7) Tyler Lee (6-16, 0-8) Longview closes the season with a home game against Tyler Lee before traveling to Mesquite and Rockwall. Heath closes at North, at Lee and home against Mesquite. Mesquite closes with at Rockwall, vs Longview, vs Horn and at Heath. Horn closes with home vs North, at Lee, at Mesquite and home vs Rockwall. Rockwall has home vs Mesquite, vs Longview and at Horn to close things out. So a ton still to be decided, with basically the top 5 still all playing each other. Lobos need to win 2 of their final 3 to clinch a spot, without any help.
