Week 3 Malakoff vs Mexia

This turned out to be a good ball game! The tigers came in the 1st half doing long clock eating drives, which worked but we didn't capitalize on being in the redzone mutliple times. It was 3-0 at the half. The 2nd half we came out running our normal pace offense and it worked a lot better imo. About mid 4th qtr, we started to get relaxed and Mexia scored quickly twice, getting back into the game. Mexia had the size and speed on us but for the most part we held #5 & #13 for most of the game. #5 got one long td run on us and then Mexia did a formation that had us lost and they scored on a double pass td. We held the LOS for most of the game, imo. #44 DE for Mexia is a hell of a player. This is a much improved Mexia team from last year. Their defense is really good and offense has some talent and speed. Imo, the coaching is what was the difference in this game. This was a hard fought game and a good test for us to build off of for next week. Mexia once again great game, hold your heads high. You guys got a good team! Tigers keep playing like you did last night. You guys played with a lot of heart in that 4th qtr. and it paid off. Great win! Let's keep.on rolling tigers!
