I think clearly the point is that we have politicians wanting to make judges into their political mode, on both sides. At any level, I think that is not a good thing. The Supreme Court should base all cases on the Constitution and its 27 amendments, and some of the laws of the land, those that adhere to the Constitution. And the book actually says the “victim” Ms. Ramirez, a democratic activist, had no memory of this occurrence, or did any of her friends or alleged witnesses. Of course they aren't going to retract their statements or apologize, but they should be sued if they don't. It would mean they still stand by their initial statements. As with anything else including gun control, they will turn on the populace if they do not walk the line and use violence on the people if we do not follow the Party line just as Hitler,Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Castro did to cleanse the nation of dissidents without trials. On this mornings news, they writers of the NYT piece about Kavanaugh took a page right out of obama's playbook--they blamed the editors for removing the "facts" of the story. When they themselves were on NPR in an interview and they NOT once mentioned that the story was NOT collaborated by the victim or any witnesses. Keep buying into the fascist idea of destroying the media, so you can put out your own 'truth', as Trump has tried from DAY ONE, following in the footsteps of FOX and Breitbart and Rush and Alex Jones. Personally, I have never thought being an overprivileged, alcoholic frat boy who got handsy with women throughout HS and college was enough to keep someone from running from office or being appointed to the Supreme Court. Why, we have a long, fine tradition of jackwagons running the show. It would disqualify most of the coaching profession from working, for that matter!
