CreateMyAccount
Silsbee should have an easy win for homecoming. Thoughts?

Acewell
Hmm keep it vanilla and get some players healthy for district or go all out to gain some momentum?

dillonpanthers
He played them last year. Lol. It's a 2 year agreement. You make it sound like he just decided it this off season.

3lamp
Yeah I think Mercer did this out of spite. He knew the test before it was told that he was done. We just couldn’t afford to buy him out of his contract.
dillonpanthers
But he was there when they played last year? That doesn't make sense
3lamp
Yeah but they came here last year and he knew we would have to travel there this year. And he knew he wouldn’t be here. He needed a game and they were willing to travel.

BlackShirtD
Not sure why the big praise for Silsbee. Â They are 2-2 with wins over Nederland and Lumberton and losses to Newton and PN-G. Â Yes it will be a tough game for SH but Silsbee can be beat. Â SH will be playing PG and Gilmer in district and both better than Silsbee. bansheefan03
Don't think any 4a team would be worried about a team that got took to woodshed by a 3a div.2 team 1

Spring Hill won a couple of games if I recall correctly and SH is going to have to make a 4-6 hour trip basically to the gulf coast. Why in the world did the Superintendent of SH even sign off on this.

longhorncrazy
Silsbee lost to Newton last season by a larger margin than they lost to them this season. Silsbee went on to state semifinals losing to eventual state champ Cuero 29-24. So losing to Newton however badly is really irrelevant to this situation or to how good Silsbee really is. According to my sources down there Silsbee is always a late bloomer. They schedule a tough non-district. I would consider them a formidable 4A DII team. At least DCTF thought so when ranking them #3 in preseason. 2
