Bushland has moved up slightly week by week. Their closest game was with Childress, which is 0-4. The remaining schedule is also very weak. Bushland can continue to rise, but I just have not seen enough at this point to make a dramatic move. They may very well deserve being top 10 and can prove that in the playoffs. The five games they have played their opponents record is 4 - 22. 2 of those wins belong to Caldwell who played them close and should have beat the Tigers if weren't for some suspicious penalties. You’ll always have some fans that can’t handle success but the majority of Diboll’s fans are humble and respectful. Franklin has a great program with a better playoff pedigree than Diboll (Coldspring too) ,so I can assure you the coaching staff and players know how big of a challenge it will be to go into Franklin and leave with a W. Yeah I think the defense is the real reason Diboll is playing so well. Diboll had a terrible first half on offense with turnovers but the D held up only giving up 10 against Crockett. Diboll has had some solid teams over the years, and been watching for 20+ years. I believe this is probably the best defense to come through in that time span. About the pass, I hope you’re right that the passing game is more polished a bit when the real tests come their way. It seems like Maskunas put in a lot of offseason work. I’m confident he’ll get more comfortable back there. He’s got the receivers to really get the passing game going.
