Tatum wins to really mess up the playoff picture.

Tatum will win 35-19 and will win remaining district games

Maybe because it’s raining? 👀

Idk. Rain might be to WRs advantage. They basically have a couple thousand yard rushers.

Just thinking ….

On paper, WR looks like they should win.

However, in six of eight games, they have started off slowly, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

   > Arp (2-5): WR up 7-0 at end of 1st Qtr

   > Waskom: WR up 7-6 at half

   > Mineola: WR down 14-7 at end of 1st Qtr

   > Gladewater: WR scored 7 points the first three quarters

   > White Oak (0-8): WR up 6-0 at end of 1st Qtr

   > Sabine: WR down 13-7 at end of 1st Qtr

A team with younger/less experienced kids (reportedly as per Tatum) are generally much more affected by the ebb and flow/ups and downs found in an average football game. Allow a few good breaks in a row to go their way and they often muster themselves up to operate at a higher level - suddenly an “unsure” becomes a “we can do this”.

With a young Tatum team, who do possess athleticism at the skill positions, the Raiders' offense needs to come out with their foot on the gas. Another slow start could allow the Eagles to hang around – and the longer they hang around, the more likely it is for the younguns to believe it is time to spread their wings and soar.

Still leaning somewhat toward WR, but it could get testy.

Have you seen West Rusk's roster? They have a hand full of freshman starters! This theory can work both ways.

True, EXCEPT the roster I have lists the four players who have accounted for almost 90% of Wesk Rust's total offense - Smith, Moore, Shelton, and Winings - as seniors.

There may be freshman out there, like many programs this size, but they are being required to carry all of the load.

Everybody be careful on the road tonight ... it's slippery out there.

If you say so lol

No mistakes. Both offenses doing things at time. Defenses doing things at times. Y’all messed up kicking it to #2.

On paper West Rusk should win this game, but I think we would all agree that this district has had a few surprises already and will likely have more before season’s end.  That being said I’m gonna take Tatum at home in a close game.  Something like 35-30.

Nailed it!

Score was closer than game seemed imo. Came out in fire to start second half then went in conservative mode. #2 (as the Sabine folk call him) had himself a game. Punt return for TD, catch for TD and probably should of had a 70 yard INT for one but he slipped making his last move.

On the bright side of things, I did like what I seen out of our freshman QB.

Our freshmen did pretty good too.
