Longview is 32-point favorite this week against Mesquite, according to DCTF.

At the beginning of the season I thought the mosquitoes would give a the Lobos a game. I think they will be just an annoyance. Living up to the name perhaps

Stepping away from the stats, here's what makes them historical from the eyeball and why I haven't seen a LV defense as good as these dudes. It's a pure and perfect mixture of size, speed and lea

Nah. John King, isn't that type of coach to allow that to happen. He's extremely respectful almost to a fault.

Will worry about whomever when we get past Temple. Too good of a team to not worry about.

Lakeview centennial? That’s the team that got curb stomped by north mesquite huh?

Yep.

I was just pointing out that we would still potentially see a dynanic RB in area.

But I bet NM wouldn't beat them now.

Aldine Eisenhower defeats Spring DeKaney, 28-27.

I'm almost positive, barring an upset by MacArthur over Spring tomorrow night, that Ike and DeKaney are in and MacArthur is out...putting Westfield in the D1 bracket.

JV defeated Mesquite, 34-26. They finish the season 9-1...what a turn around for them after last season's results.

Freshmen defeated Mesquite, 21-0. They finish the season 8-2.

Great turnaround for sure for that 2022 class.

And that's a good Mesquite team the 9th grade beat.

It's a pure and perfect mixture of size, speed and leadership. You have 6'4 280 (Goram-Welch), 6'2 270 (Joe Jones) and 6'1 250 (Beltran) along the line. All 3 not only attract double teams, but are able to get in the backfield without additional pressure. And whenever there is pressure sent, those killer LB's and down safeties attack the wide open gaps....which is a site to see because there is so much speed and grit behind that DL. Then you add in an opportunistic and hard hitting secondary just waiting for a QB to throw up the wrong pass because of pressure. This is easily the most vocal Longview defense I've seen as well. They communicate very well....not one person on that defense silent on any given play.

I didn't even mention the depth..we have dudes that are not full time starters on this defense that would be alot of other places. Devean Isaac, The Hale Brothers (S Tyree and LB Laqualon)..

Smdh...i wanted to know who would’ve won that second meeting. That would’ve been a great game with WF healthy now i think.
