Funny story: about 9 years ago, we had the Tyler AllSaints Trojans scheduled for HOCO at Joaquin. My kids were in elementary school, so I had to attend parent meetings to plan the floats for the parade. Typical float themes are “Tame the Tigers” “Drill the Dragons” “Blast the Bearcats”. I'm going to hazard a guess here that there were 16 penalties with 15 of those being committed by Cumby. Cumby should go deep in the playoffs if they clean up the penalties. Good job Pirates. Their groans every time another flag flew were amusing. Good team though. I was in the home stands and my thoughts to my wife were Cumby was just playing sloppy but could still move the ball at will. I'm wondering how many penalties they kept from getting through the regular season because of poor officiating? With 5 high quality refs in this game and what I saw Cumby definitely committed at least 90% of the penalties called on them. They clean that up and they will go deep. flukeshot Posted November 16, 2019 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Oh yeah, the penalties were legit. Kind of hard to screw up motion penalties or offsides or a receiver stepping out of bounds.
