PelvisPresley
you just said you wanted the best team to be the champ...is that the best team or the team (team 1 in my example) with the most "artistically" creative schedules that they squeak by people or even pound most people -> even if it's FCS/D2/D3 blah blah blah to make sure that record is 12-0? if team 2 is playing a juggernaut schedule of FBS, power 5 teams ranked in the top 25 or whatever and drops a couple tough, tight ones (not blown out -> that would hurt you too bad) early in the season...then you click it in and ramrod everyone for 11 weeks (if we had that 4 to 5 rounds of playoff football), including those "unbeaten gold dust teams".  TEAM 2 is the best team (real gold) --> not sprinkled with gold dust. look at Clemson now (of course still unbeaten), but 26 straight wins and ramping upwards...a combo of the 2 examples. to hear most folks, Clemson was left on the rocks, especially when they snuck by UNC. Oregon lost in game 1...are they done because of that? K-State (no, not going to make any playoff) --> are they much more dangerous playing a good team now as opposed to the first week or two of the season? Michigan...perfect example of what I'm talking about. disappointed a couple times early...but something has clicked in now and they would be dangerous to play (as a #12 overall seed at this moment).
