You think Surrat is the only Coach that would be winning titles at Carthage with that talent. 100 Coaches in the State would have those same rings if they had the size and speed of Carthage.

This dude high.

But back to the game at hand, I think argyle is too good on offense and they win by 11.

Argyle hears the same thing.  People see a winning program and just assume that any coach can step in and have the same results.

Not from me! I think he is a great coach. You don’t have this kind of consistency with poor coaching.

There are always greener pastures with a lot more green stuff $$$$.....enjoying it while it lasts.

You don't have to worry...…...Dropping to Division 2, with probably no chance of ever going back to Division 1, with talent coming for the next 5 years for sure and his son loving it in Carthage, S S will more than likely retire a Dawg --------- while bleeding a little blue from his time in his hometown

At Cameron Yoe the same thing has been said about any coach could come in and win championships.  That is not so since Rhoades left after the 2015 season.   This existing staff here now is just winning enough to save their jobs every year.  You as a head coach needs to have discipline, a good staff (not your old buddies) and know how to use your talent to the best of their ability.   That goes for all your atheletics your school supports.  That's why it's so impressive when your school wins the Lone Star Cup.

Only 9 first downs, but 422 yards. How does that even happen. Must have hit a lot of big plays.

That is the argyle defense that gets so much hell.  They have given up 2 long drives for a TD this year but have given up a ton of explosive plays.

.  LV doesn’t have better athletes then Argyle.  Argyle will run away with this one by 3-4 TD’s.

I have seen both teams. LV does indeed has better athletes than Argyle. I pick LV to win, but would not be shocked if Argyle pulled it out. LV by 7.

Anyone from Carthage will tell you that the talent has ALWAYS been in Carthage. Other than the last state championship team, we've had teams more talented than some of the other state teams.

1991 was WAY more talented than almost any CHS team in history. The 2017 team was way up there in pure talent, it may have been the best, 1991 was unbelievable too.

2008, whew!

2010 and 2013 were deceptively athletic. 2013 had a few receivers well over 6’2” and one of them was 6’6” and all those receivers could run, including Rutherford (at 6’6”).

However, there are many Bulldogs teams from the past who had more talent than the ‘09, ‘10, ‘13 and ‘16 state championship teams had.
The current coach makes a huge difference just like Rodgers does for Argyle.

I am picking Argyle by 3 points in a toss up game with LV.
