10 teams would definitely take way the traditional non-district match ups in the area. Each of us would get 1 ND Matchup. We all play each other anyway so making it one big district would be interesting.

Doing 2-5 team districts would make for an interesting split.

There would have to be a split in the Marshall, Hallsville, Pine Tree trio. 1 North, 2 South. According to MavChamps those 3 haven't been split in a long time. I think the districts would play each other for Non-District as long as we aren't matched up for Bi District.

Marshall, Hallsville and Pine Tree have been together ever since the Mavs dropped if I remember correctly. I can't seem them splitting that trio.

I never thought Sulphur Springs and Mount pleasant would be in separate districts either. No one is safe. I am glad Longview is not bunched up Hallsville PT and Nac. At least maybe in D1 the bos will see some competition. Have you heard any non district games ? Wasn't Marshall off the schedule? With JT and Lufkin possible District games leaves Longview will some options.

Here is a revised version of the first projection.  It still creates that balance.  I do believe you could move Teague from 6 to 9, but the travel is better in 6.  Also, Huntington could be in 12 instead of 13, but that is not what the UIL did last time.

Good point, but still can't see them splitting them until it actually happens. Who  knows at the end of the day what the UIL is planning.

Lufkin will go South but I don't think we'll see them on the Longview schedule next fall with a possible meeting in the playoffs looming.

JT will no doubt be a district game as you said.

Temple to open things up at AT&T is locked in. West Monroe will be there for week 4 if we get put in a 7 team district.

I think it's common knowledge by now that the head coaching staffs are trying to end the Longview/Marshall series, but the admin is pushing back. That's why I'm hoping that Marshall gets put in a 10-team district, as we're not turning down the honor of that Longview/Temple match up at AT&T that the UIL has set up so there would be no way we could play if the Mavs get placed there.

But we'll see. There's a couple teams a few have mentioned in text groups and on 6A. I'm hoping for a series with Cedar Hill to come through.

Cedar Hill I like that. I know it won't happen but South Lake or Highland Park would be kinda nice. They're to good for to come to east Tx. I always wanted to see at Westlake or katy.  Duncanville cedar Hill or West Tx again . Odessa Permian/ Lee

This 5a realignment feels very weird compared to the last few.

I think one district will be-

1.Mesquite Poteet

2.Forney

3.North Forney

4.Terrell

5.Crandall

6.Ennis

7.Corsicana

This district just makes sense as all these communities touch each other. Well maybe not Corsicana

Then the East Texas group gets cloudy-Losing Lindale and adding Texas High-Royce City going D1 changes what they could do with that far northern group.

There aren't a lot of options for Greenville and SS other than with MT P. and TH.

Then you have the group of Hallsville, Marshall and Pine tree

Then the grouping of Whitehouse, Jacksonville and Nac

All together it is 10 teams, they will either have to create 9 teams district sending Nac south or break up a set of triplets and do 2 east texas districts.

Would they push Tx H, Mt P, Greenville and SS to north metroplex and leave a 6 team district in east texas?

The extreme south has Huntsville, Bryan Rudder, Montgomery, Lake Creek and A&M Consolidated stuck out by themselves as well, maybe they move Brenham into that District and closer to home. They current in a district with marble falls which is almost 3 hours between the towns

That district is what I'm predicting. Why would that district wouldn't make sense to us (Corsicana)??

How'd you like to pay them taxes?

That doesn't have a thing to do with football. Other than the high school Celina need to catch up. How about the Carthage scoreboard? Jesus rose out of the dust.

It would make sense I said "Maybe not Corsicana" as far as them bordering the other cities. This district alignment makes the most sense for Cana.

I just don't think there's any way Groesbeck, Teague, and Fairfield aren't together.

It’s Prosper Rock Hill. Prosper is 6A. Where have all the wheat fields gone?

They all gone now.

Prosper Rock Hill will be 6A soon too.

It's crazy the amount of growth up there.

Thanks for the info......adjustments tomorrow.....lol.....

Plus, that 160.5 is with a larger than normal graduating class this year...  the numbers will be like 140 for the start of next year.   I think for Class 3A on down they should not count 12 grade and count what is coming up from Jr High.  That is not feasible in the larger classifications due to multiple JR highs and high schools in a ISD and no idea if where students will attend.

You forgot to add Waco University to District 5. Unless you had them going south. But a district with Aledo, Corsicana, and Ennis??? Damn, that would be brutal!!
