Goes to show certain parts of the state ain’t as strong as others.

It might just show that a certain school has a great program during the season and the off-season. They have played several  strong schools like Port Neches,Aldine ,Port Arthur High,Port Arthur Lincoln Bumblebees, Beaumont Central. Beaumont High, Beaumont Ozan,Nederland, Jasper,Newton,Crosby and others

Not so unbelievable........Argyle has lost 37 games in 17 yrs and will win it's 200th next season.  Do the math......just triple those losses and only double the seasons.  I doubt they will lose that many even jumping up to 5A D-2 in 2024.......which is most probably when they will make that jump.  Argyle typically loses one or two games per season at most.  Early in their short history they had more losses per season. But as the seasons go by that average loss per season drops.  Right now it stands at 37/17, or 2.176 losses per season.  Using an average of 2.3 losses per season x 43 seasons = 98.9 or basically 99 losses.  So that's what WO-S has been averaging over that period......about 2.3 losses per season.  It is an amazing stat, but not totally unattainable by some other school in football in this great state.  I wonder what Aledo's numbers look like???  Probably not THAT good over that same time period, Huh?

I guess if a team can reach only 75 losses in 30 yrs, then that would be considered TOP-TIER.......that's only 2.5 per season over that span.  That would allow for 25 more losses in the next 13 seasons......or only 1.92 losses per season for the next 13 yrs in a row.......tough cookies, for sure.
