Garrett fired, but still hanging around the facilities.

Hey did you know a Zippy J's is coming to Tyler?  At the corner of Grande and Paluxy. I feel like this may be a sign the Boys' run the table next year.

Let's say they're negotiating a front office job. That still isn't the answer on two fronts...

1) It furthermore shows the new coach will have very little say.

2) It's still delaying the opportunity to find the right coach, as the longer they wait, the more likely the best coaches are no longer available.

Earth to Lobo97 ... the BEST coaches aren't gonna work for Jerruh ....

That part already goes unsaid. So read between the lines of what the comment means...the best of those who WILL come to Dallas.

Everyone knows the Jimmy Johnson's aren't coming to Dallas. That doesn't change the fact that Garrett still needs to go. So can we please stop taking every argument to the same place whenever we talk about hiring the 'best' coach?

The only thing I can see is they can't interview any coaches that are in the playoffs at the current time.  I wish they'd just make an announcement on Garrett and end the speculation.  I did see they interviewed Kris Richard.  Why would they interview him other than the Rooney Rule ?  The Secondary is what destroyed this team.  I'm praying that it's not to see who they will retain on the current staff though.  I don't want to see Garrett be able to fire most of his staff and retain the Head Coach position.

I saw where Highland Park QB Chandler Morris committed to OU. He said it was because of his relationship with Lincoln Riley. While it wouldn't be the first time a college coach wasn't honest with a recruit, it does seem to indicate Riley will not be leaving OU.

It's still a rumor until an official announcement is made.

I need to hear Jerry say it. They've played with my emotions enough this week.

I make a motion that we send Doomy and Kirt to The Star tonight to meet with Garrett and tell him he’s fired. We will leave it up to them if they wanna fire Jerry too while they are there. All in favor?

I bet we are the only ones on here who even remember the WFL.....

Y'all are not the only ones that remember the WFL. I remember the Shreveport Steamer. I think their slogan was "Steamer fever! Catch it!" lol. I had also  completely forgotten about the CFL's attempt to expand south with a team in Shreveport. My very first memory of any football was the Cowboys losing to the Colts in the SB. It seems like I remember a Cowboy player throwing his helmet after the game but Im not sure that actually happened or not.

Exactly, this could be some kind of circus for publicity that Jerry is putting on.  I have not seen it on the NFL.com or on my news feed with the service provider that I use.  The firing of a Dallas Cowboys head coach is major sports news.  Simply because "sources" say it has happened does not make it news.  That is the problem with all news sources today.  They jump to conclusions and report it as fact, and then have to backtrack or don't even issue a correction.

That is well documented.  You can see it in this video at the 2:29 mark :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj_B8SFTUQA
