It wasn't until recently that people wanted to change the term, because "words have power". It has always been used for those that come to the U.S., and do not adhere to our immigration laws. As I've stated my first ancestor that came to the United States had to swear allegiance to the British crown in 1747. 19 years later he was fighting against it. Try immigrating to any country, and see if you can do so without registering with their Government and following their immigration laws. Yet you want U.S. to be different ? SMH. Any person that is in the United States whether they are here legally or illegally should not receive a stimulus check. So, I will then change my mind on who should receive stimulus package money--only those people with a Social Security number should be allowed to receive stimulus package dollars. Those with ITINs would not be US citizens at this time, while some are legally here, I am going to kind of take Nature boy's stance, only US citizens should receive US stimulus dollars. And it was a year of arguing, and paying a lawyer to settle that #### with the IRS. A pain in my rear end. But if only social security people get a check, I might get 2 this way. LOL.
