I'm not aware of any local ties.  The school news release just mentioned that he was at Heritage for 6 seasons.

This is no way a reference to the new HFC.  From those I know he is a good coach.   Good luck brother.  You are going to need it.

Is the same amount of money being spent when you split the duties with two people or is it costing more for the district?

Usually more. Say you normally pay an AD/HFC 80,000. Now you're going to pay an AD only in the 70's and a head coach in the 60's (or possibly more)

I have no ideal what their pay structures will be; however, the AD was also serving as HS assistant principal so I wouldn't be surprised if AD would just be one of his admin duties.

Schools are facing a tenuous financial future from the fallout of COVID-19 and loss of oil/gas revenues.  This seems like a prudent move for the times ahead.

If he is also remaining a principal,  they likely add on 10-20k. Then the pay really won't be too far off from what it was.
