That’s amazing! I am so proud of what those guys have accomplished.

Incredible test coming up in region finals but definitely not going to doubt them.

The team we beat tonight has already tied them this season, so as long as we keep that belief alive, I think we have a shot.

No doubt tonight was our toughest test of the season to date, and each game we play will be the same.

What a great win. So proud of them. Finally taking that next step for this program that has been on the cusp.

Had our cheerleaders there tonight, so great change from last week. Great crowd on hand too. More than tripled the Frisco fan base.

Hope it continues this weekend!

Marshall with a HUGE 4-3 win over Texas High tonight to keep their playoff chase alive.

With Longview’s win over SS.... there is a three way tie for second place now and The Mavs are only one game behind.

This race is going to be insane headed down the stretch.

Where are you getting these scores for baseball? I can barely find ANY updates on Longview baseball. It's a struggle every game.

Longview won 9-3 tonight to improve to 5-2 in district. According to your last post with the standings, this would drop SS to 4-3 and with Marshall’s win over T High would drop T High go 4-3. So believe there’s a tie for 3rd and 4th right now with Hallsville at the top and Longview in second?

Correct!  For some reason I had Longview 4-3 in my head.

 Big games coming.

Good luck Lobos. We hung tough but couldn’t pull it out against them. They definitely have speed. And they can pressure the ball but I believe y’all can beat them !

REGION II SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
Longview Vs. Frisco Wakeland

-----------------------------------------------------

DISTRICT 15-5A SOFTBALL
Hallsville (7-1) (14-5-1)
Sulphur Springs (7-1), (16-3)
Mount Pleasant (7-2) (17-6)
Texas High (4-4), (10-8)
Marshall (3-6), (9-8-1)
Longview (2-7), (10-8)
Pine Tree (0-9) (1-18)

Game 10
Sulphur Springs beat Longview 6-0
Texas High beat Marshall 6-4
Mount Pleasant beat Pine Tree 30-1
Hallsville- OFF

With Hallsville idle Tuesday, Sulphur Springs pulled into a dead heat for the district lead with just 4 games remaining.  The pair of Ladycat teams are headed for a monster tie-breaking showdown for the district championship.  BUT.... MP is quietly pulling together an outstanding season... and they trail SS and Hallsville by half a game. Texas High seized firm control of the fourth and final playoff spot from Marshall with their 5-4 win over the Lady Mavs.

Did you see that MP/PT score?  30-1.  Wowzers.

-----------------------------------------------------

DISTRICT 16-5A SOFTBALL
Huntsville (5-0), (19-3)
Whitehouse (4-1), (10-6-1)
Jacksonville (3-2), (8-11)
Lufkin (2-3), (11-8)
Nacogdoches (1-4), (1-12)
Tyler (0-5), (1-7-2)

Game 5- Make-up
Lufkin beat Nacogdoches 17-1

Lufkin dismantled Nac to take the #4 spot.  It was the only game of the night.  The second round of district play will start Friday night for all teams.

-----------------------------------------------------

DISTRICT 15-5A BASEBALL
Hallsville (6-0), (17-4)
Longview (5-2), (16-5-1)
Sulphur Springs (4-3), (7-13)
Texas High (4-3), (10-5-1)
Marshall (3-4), (9-11)
Mount Pleasant (2-5), (7-10)
Pine Tree (0-7), (3-15)

GAME 8
Longview beat Sulphur Springs 8-3
Marshall beat Texas High 4-3
Mount Pleasant beat Pine Tree 7-5
Hallsville- OFF

Longview leap-frogged SS and Texas High in the standings with their win over the WIldcats and Marshall's win over Texarkana.  The Mavs kept their playoff hopes alive with the crucial road win.  SS and THS are now tied for third and Marshall lurking just one game behind.  PT almost got their first district win....but a late MP score kept the Pirates from the W.

-----------------------------------------------------

DISTRICT 16-5A BASEBALL

Whitehouse (7-1), (18-4)
Lufkin (7-1), (18-4-1)
Nacogdoches (5-3), (17-6)
Huntsville (4-4), (11-13)
Jacksonville (1-7),  (9-13)
Tyler (0-7), (8-15)

Games 8
Lufkin beat Huntsville 9-0
Whitehouse beat Jacksonville 7-2
Nacogdoches beat Tyler 10-0

Whitehouse and Lufkin continue to win and continue to remain knotted up for the district lead.  Nacogdoches is having an outstanding season as well and is firmly in the #3 slot with Huntsville in the final playoff slot.

WH, Lufkin, and Nac are all impressive thus far with 18, 18, and 17 wins respectively.

JAX sophomore Devin McCuin ran 10.15 100 Meters in district prelims. Should win district in finals on Friday. Got his first football offer from UTSA. There will be many more.

Damn. A 10.15 can win state right now. You can damn near make the Olympic team right now with that speed. That's unheard of for a sophomore. I hope that's not a typo on your end. That's really impressive. With that time, he would rank 568 in the world right now.

A 10th grader that breaks 11.00 is fast.....no doubt

That being said, in the 100 and 200 at the high school level, a few factors can lead to a better time - handheld timers historically give faster times than automatic timing, wind can help, starters can allow a rolling start

Huntsville boys and girls claim the 16-5A track championships

Working on finding complete standings

Huntsville’s athletic program has been a beast this season in district play.

I went to the district 16-5A  track meet today in WH. Dang, JAX was in 1st place by 10 yards in 4 X 100 with Devin McCuin pulling away at anchor. About 30 yards from the finish line, he pulls up with a pulled groin. Had to be carted off to the medical tent. They ran the 100 and winning time was 11.1, not fast at all, he would have won it. It’s really a shame, he had a chance to possibly make it to Austin as a sophomore. He also starts at RF in baseball.

They were 6A, what last realignment? Or maybe before? Yes, they had lots of speed.
