Nacwagons 245
3 hours ago, missionimpossible said: As I stated before, Nac's District in swimming is a cakewalk. Having only 1 advance when you dominated the District proves this. However, good luck to the 200 Free Team. Nac beat everyone they swam against before district this year with the exception of 6a Tyler Legacy. Nac swimmers swam well, and if the UIL wouldn't have changed the rules due to cov-id and took the top 2 finishers in all the events as in years past. Nac would be sending 3 relays and 4 individual swimmers to State. The Men's 400 Free relay got a state call up this morning for having a top 8 time in the state so now sending 2 relays to state. bordertown 130
Congrats to the Tigershark and Dragon swimmers. For years Texarkana has dominated East Texas swimming. Nac appears to be closing the gap. It’s a tough sport for most schools to compete due to lack of facilities.

LoboFan07 2,405
Great work as always @Mavchamp. One note, Longview girls finished 2-10 on the season in district play. Only victories came against Pine Tree. 4 total wins this year is by far a program low, only the third time a Lady Lobo team has finished sub .500. https://www.lobohistory.com/othersports/basketballgirls/seasons/2021.html

randomuser 179
Not to hijack this post but I was looking at the Boys basketball records and standings in this district. If you turn the standings upside down you’ll have the 4 best football teams. I don’t know if I worded that correctly but the best b-ball teams had the worst football teams. Minus Longview, they’re the outlier. Then the best football teams had the worst basketball team. I just thought that was strange. You can move along now.
Nacwagons 245
Super proud of the Lady Dragons Basketball team. They fought back from being own 12 with 4 minutes left in the game and had a chance at the tie or the win in the final 4 seconds. They showed a lot of heart fighting back against a team no one gave them a chance against. Good Job Lady Dragons!!!

Interesting, I wonder how much the seasons overlapping caused that? Basketball was half over for some of those schools before football ended. How many of those Mt Pleasant Bball players play football? I was also surprised how bad Tyler is in bball.
