I know, he’s an idiot for not playing him

Very likely cost him a ring, and it may be hurting his recruiting now. You can’t help but wonder if the way that played out in the 2017 season maybe had an effect on Trevor Lawrence going to Clemson.

He had a sophomore QB who was coming off a great freshman season who lost in the NC.

No, coach in the country would have benched that QB for an unproven true freshman QB.

Fromm did not play as well his sophomore year and fields did when given the opportunities.

The Independence Bowl has been canceled because the committee was unable to find an opponent for Army.

I am legitimately disappointed over this. I attend the Independence Bowl every year, but this was the one I have looked forward to the most of any that I was going to attend.

I’ve been several times. I felt that they really dropped the ball when they let go of their SEC/ Big12 tie-ins. Do they really think that PAC 12 teams and FANS really want to visit Shreveport?

There is no point to expand.

We all know who the top 2 teams are. We don’t need to see Alabama/Clemson blow out Ohio State/Notre Dame/Texas A&M.

Just let Alabama and Clemson play and be done with it.

Oklahoma was in the same boat as Notre Dame and A&M in this CFP Era multiple times. You’re now saying you wish OU had not been picked to play in one of the semifinals, because they got smoked?

I’m not saying I did not want them to make it. I’m saying it was a pointless game. Especially last year.

Though Oklahoma’s playoffs losses are over exaggerated. They have only been blown out once which was last year to LSU who blew out every team they played. They blew out Clemson in the NC too.

They didn’t blow out one team.

Kinda find hard to believe a 9 win Army is not bowling but a 2win South Carolina is . 2020 🤦‍♂️

If I'm the coach or AD for a sub-.500 program going to a bowl, I'd offer my invite to them.

Shreveport is a 💩 city.  It’s ugly, it’s dirty, and has no real attractions.

Just the Superior Bar and Grille. 🤪

I’m pretty sure Pac12 fans can find good margaritas and fajitas closer to home. My wife and stayed at one of the casino hotels for our anniversary a few years back during Independence Bowl week. It was Arizona vs Boston College. Arizona was staying at the same hotel we were in. I met several of their players and coaches (one gave me a ROLL TIDE when he saw my shirt), but we didn’t see any Arizona fans at the hotel or on the boardwalk. One of the players said his parents weren’t even coming to his last game. It was kinda sad.

Shreveport is like taking the bad part of a big city and make that the whole city lol.

Louisiana’s guide to city building:

build big buildings, surround it with plants etc.  let poverty set in and the buildings erode.  Spruce up the city by throwing some casinos in it.  Rinse.  Repeat.

In all seriousness, I do not think people realize how much casinos #### the life out of communities that they are in.

Yep, Superior does not move the needle for me at all.

I lived in Shreveport for 5 years, and the only time I would go there is when people who did not live in Shreveport visited and insisted that is where we went.

Shreveport has some good food, but you will not find it at Superior.

Nice hole in the wall... look up “The Blind Tiger.”  If it’s even still there.  Had the best food for a bar
