Antimalarial drug touted by Trump?

A study of 96,000 hospitalized coronavirus patients on six continents found that those who received hydroxychloroquine had a significantly higher risk of death as compared with those who did not.
The paper, obtained early by The Washington Post and published Friday in the Lancet medical journal, found that people treated with hydroxychloroquine, or the closely related drug chloroquine, were also more likely to develop a type of irregular heart rhythm, or arrhythmia, that can lead to sudden cardiac death.

People have been taking this for decades and have had no problem. Like everything else it's just who you ask to get the answer to suit your political agenda.

For other purposes!!!!!!! It is directly counterproductive and dangerous  to those with Covid. That fly by your noggin?

That study is a joke.  Cherry picked, one sided hit piece by BIG PHARMA and the folks that want to sell you their cure.

Jesse Goodman, a former FDA chief scientist who is now a Georgetown University professor, called the report “very concerning.” He noted, however, that it is an observational study, rather than a randomized controlled trial, so it shows correlation between the drugs and certain outcomes, rather than a clear cause and effect.

It is based on a retrospective analysis of medical records, not a controlled study in which patients are divided randomly into treatment groups, which is the method considered the gold standard of medicine.

Keep blindly supporting idiocy and conspiracy and utterly ridiculous bullfeathers. I expect nothing less. It gives you something to do.
Most Americans are tired of how embarrassing and inane Trump is, though. Don't let that bother you.

Most Americans in your tiny anti-Trump utopia maybe ...

Just another attack piece by the parrot of the MSM. Anything from the Washington Post is definitely worth ignoring. SMFH, SSDD!!!!!
