This is a good website.  It shows TX cases and deaths by day on a graph.  It will even break it down by country.  Pretty slick site.  Cases have spiked but deaths have remained relatively flat since reopening.

This is really good web-site with easy to see data. The trending is positive the past few days. One thing that really stands out to me is that Denton County has had 1 Covid death since June 12th and that is in a County of 890,000 residents.

This will all be over on the second Wednesday in November.  It will be a miracle how quick it goes away.

This is the greatest debacle in the history of the USA.

Schools in Texas NEVER should have closed in the first place.

I might would buy into SOME of this theory if this wasn't a WORLDWIDE problem.

The USA hasn't been special through the pandemic...... almost every industrialized nation in the world shut down over COVID..... most of them long BEFORE us.... most of them for LONGER than us.... and almost across the board MORE EFFECTIVELY than us.

This isn't an American attempt to quell the virus.... it's a worldwild attempt to quell the virus.

Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Australia .... they really don't give a rip about the American Election....  yet they are all still dealing with it.... some longer than us.

The rest of the world doesn't give a rip if Trump, Biden, Yeezy, or Howdy Doody wins the election.

And I hope COVID has run it's course before November gets here..... but I'm guessing it'll be here long after November... and it won't care who wins the election..... including Howdy Doody.

It's interesting that schools closed in the name of "safety" concerns over a virus when, given the number of school shootings over the years,  no one thought that closing schools was the answer to the school shooting epidemic sweeping across the country.  Virus : unsafe.  Bullets: safe. 👌

Shootings aren't contagious.  It can't be passed around socially like a virus.

And while schools weren't closed down from shootings.... safety and security at schools has morphed wildly over the years.  They have secure vestibules/entrances in most schools now.  ISD's have their own police forces.  Lots of schools have done away with lockers.  They have metal detectors..... bomb dogs.....  list goes on and on.  Some of it overkill IMHO.  But they did what they did in the best interest in the safety of the students.

Same consideration with a health issue.

👌 But NO schools were shut down for what amounts to a whole school year before all these wildly new safety measures were put in place. If the new standard of living is dependent upon someone's evolving definition of "safety" we'll all wind up being prisoners in our homes.

Yes, you are right ... it's a worldwide virus ... I'm not convinced that it wasn't planned by some very sinister politically motivated people in an attempt to harm America, President Trump, our economy and the world economy .... before our 2020 election cycle .... The culprits are China, probably Soros and other socialist/marxist groups of people .... This was China's way at getting back at President Trump because of his hard nosed trade reforms .... the rest of the world just happened to get caught up in their plot ....

You honestly think China is willing and capable to release a virus that has killed hundreds of thousands (Could ultimately end up in the millions) WORLDWIDE.... including a huge death toll of their OWN people in order to hurt Trump???

I find that incomprehensible if it’s true.  But mind boggling that it gets traction for some people.

Yes ... I do ... they are ruthless .... they have imprisoned and killed countless numbers of their own people .... they wouldn't bat an eye at killing people worldwide if it helps them militarily or economically .... I think President Trump was boxing them in on trade and they over reacted ....

There is no question they are capable of releasing this type of virus .... they work on this stuff all the time in their military labs ....

False flag attacks are nothing new. The American government has deployed a few against their own citizens — and those are just the declassified ones we know about.

So no, it’s not totally out of the question that a rival nation would do the same thing to maneuver themselves into a better position, both economically and in terms of military, on a global scale. But crashing the American economic complex would be a bold strategy, and likely disastrous for China in the long run. It would essentially spell their own ruin.

Still not impossible, just a little more improbable.

A more likely scenario is that this was a joint effort by many of the large economic and military powers — America included — to continue feeding the war machine, which ensures the global elite get to stay the global elite.

I think most of the world believes the American electorate will send him packing.... without the help of a virus.

Personally.... given the cult-like following he has and Democrat’s total ineptitude to pick a moderate (sane) candidate to actually challenge  him..... makes me skeptical.

But it’s not outside of the scope of possibility that this administration is gone come inauguration time

I disagree though.  I don’t think any country is willing to release an unknown virus with an unknown communicability and death rate on the populace.  What good would undermining Trump do if you wiped out a huge portion of your own nation????

This could have had  a 50% mortality rate.... or higher.  With the highest population on the planet..... they were the greatest at risk for a mass genocide of their own people.  For what???  Trade talks?    Nahhhh....  that’s one conspiracy I have to take a hard pass on.

Some good news coming from pediatric experts that could lead to some normalcy this fall:

“Science and facts, and not fear or threats, must guide our choices. Recent recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics for in-person reopening of schools in the are based on the documented benefits of school for children and their families, as well as the understanding that coronavirus is a very different disease in children than in adults. The data consistently show that children are less likely to be symptomatic from Covid-19 or to develop complications. Children also seem less likely to become infected with SARS-CoV2, the virus that causes Covid-19 when exposed.

And there is no question that school is good for children, not only for their education, but also for their development and their mental and physical health. It is also a place where many children receive health care provided by school nurses and physicians, receive nutritious meals and where abuse and neglect are often first detected.

I remain  optimistic.  Cautiously.
But I won’t beret leaders if they choose to shut it down.   If if I hope they don’t selfishly.

Yes, I do ... they don't value life the same way we do ... they have killed millions of their own people in the past .... they could even look at it as population control as a side benefit ... I think it is a real possibility that they unleashed this virus hoping to benefit from it in the long run ....

Agree to disagree.

Thoughts like that are on the same level as those thinking the vaccine will inject a chip into you or that the 5G network is being used to control us to me.

Too wild of a conspiracy for me.

No, thoughts like that are mindful of history and the known evil that still exists in the world.  To think otherwise is very naive. If you believe the bible, you can see where the mark of the beast is also very real. I assure you both are not wild conspiracies  ....

You do realize that you’re talking about a nation who employs a population control initiative that, in some provinces, limits families to one child, and employs forced abortions to keep it that way? Example: Jack and Jill are happily married with one child. Jill discovers she is pregnant with a second child. When the government finds out, they take Jill to a state run medical facility, where she has an abortion performed, willingly or not. So you think cooking up a virus that would reduce the population of China, as well as the rest of the world that they see as overpopulated as well, is a stretch? C’MON MAN!
