TTman7 1,378
My understanding is Winny has a pretty good QB. He's an all-around QB...both good pass & runner. Is that correct?

Is that correct? We used 2 qbs most of last year. Both can pass pretty well. One is a little better runner than the other. Our offense now is mostly predicated on the qb not having to do much running in contrast to years past with the option, the qb ran much more. We have a stable of good players in the backfield that do the heavy lifting in the run game so the qb is mostly tasked with getting those guys the ball.

I’d make him the starter given how Finney rolls the dice. He is like a young Surratt in that regard.

Their style of offense takes too much time off the clock for them to play catch up.

Our bread and butter is staying ahead of the chains gaining very positive yardage on 1st down. If we ever go backwards on 1st down, we usually have a harder time being successful.

chevyman 200
Raiders looked pretty solid. Kids played hard and physical. No one got hurt so thats a plus. Only a small sample tonight though so time will tell. Going to be a battle next week
Acewell 158
I watched the webcast of the Pewitt and Commerce scrimmage. Wasn't too impressed with Pewitt. Then I realized I had been watching the 2nd team/jv. I think Pewitt has the potential to be better than last year.

Varsity looked good to me.

cotton84 369
I put the over/under for total passes in the game at 9.5 And would probably take the under if I was betting.

I was looking forward to bumping our record up to 20-1 this year. Y’all get any softer, you’ll be in White Oak territory. I guess that one loss is to Daingerfield?
