Don’t wanna jinx it but......

I’m calling district S W E E P . . .

4A Division 1 Region 3 District 9 all on to Round 2.

Lindale +35

Kilgore +35

Palestine +21

Chapel Hill +14

against District 10

So your basing your predictions on last year's teams is that what I just read? If so man o man are you going to be disappointed. Palestine very well could have the best D but guaranteeing that before

All we can do is play the games set before us.

Kilgore and Lindale are doing their thing, but the Mabank/Hendo is wow.

I could see this happening. All depends on CH. I think the other 3 will get it done.

Like I said I believe it when I see it. Kilgore is decent right along with Lindale. Palestine and Chapel Hill were my surprise teams.  I honestly thought Palestine would take a step back.

My pre season pick was

Kilgore

Lindale

Chill

Henderson

Palestine

Athens

Mabank

I whiffed on Palestine so save the Discredit Kilgore for someone else. My honest opinion is no one will be playing in December.

Will be interested to see what you have to say in a few weeks. I could see Kilgore/Lindale in the regional finals. I could honestly see all four of this districts teams playing against each other in Round 3 if Chapel Hill/Palestine pull off the Round 1 upset.

Henderson airing up basketballs early has you feeling pretty negative about the district.

Nothing to do with it at all. Both are good let tap the breaks.

I don’t think anyone on Livingston can contain Ford, Berry, nor McGregor. They’re gonna have a HUGE game.

Favorable matchups this round for all teams considered. Kilgore and Lindale definitely will walk away . The other two should win but not as easy as lindale/Kilgore.

Can’t argue with that! I agree with a post a read earlier as well. I can DEFINITELY see district 9 matchups meeting in Round 3 and 4

That Lindale Vidor game was the weirdest game I’ve ever watched. Vidor’s game plan was to keep Lindale’s offense off the field and that they did. They literally( no exaggeration) took an entire quarter on one drive to score a touchdown. It ate up the clock. The entire first half was over in 42 minutes. Anyway happy to get the win. Good luck to the rest of district 9

I like convincing wins....  really do. But this game was so uncompetitive that it was kind of uncomfortable to watch.

Yeah those teams down south usually are not much of a challenge. Most of time we have to wait on each other for competition. El campo should be decent but played no one . Only loss was to Calhoun which is decent caliber. It was close so there is that.

3 out of 4 playing in the 3rd round is impressive. Like how usually is with one team cancels out the other. Chapel Hill playing Lindale in a rematch was unlikely as it gets. Kudos to the dogs and this was expected for the Eagles imo. I assume 4th round is the Kilgore winner right? I need to look at the bracket but that would be very fitting. I could see Lindale being a dark horse. This kinda has a Henderson 2010 vibe . I am not calling a championship but you never know.

I wonder who wins coach of the Year . The candidates.

1. Lindale winning District championship and getting a school record in wins.

2. Kilgore : had a horrible year but made the playoffs and playing further in years.

3. Chapel Hill: 5 year absence playing in late November and as a 4th seed.

4. Palestine : Expectations were somewhat surprised considering on what they had left. Still good season and won.
