Quick question. Have you watched it to know what the film is actually about or are you just taking other people’s word for it (who probably haven’t watched it either)?

Leave it to a libnut to try to defend child porn and pedophilia.......

So you’re not gonna answer the question. I’m not defending it because I haven’t watched it and probably never will. Everything I’ve heard about it says that it’s the exact opposite of what the CONS say it is.

This is from the Rotten Tomatoes website:

Eleven-year-old Amy lives with her mom, Mariam, and younger brother, awaiting her father to rejoin the family from Senegal. Amy is fascinated by disobedient neighbor Angelica's free-spirited dance clique named "Cuties", a group that stands in sharp contrast to stoic Mariam's deeply held traditional values. Undeterred by the girls' initial brutal dismissal and eager to escape her family's simmering dysfunction, Amy, through an ignited awareness of her burgeoning femininity, propels the group to enthusiastically embrace an increasingly sensual dance routine, sparking the girls' hope to twerk their way to stardom at a local dance contest.

If you sit there and watch 11 year old girls Twerk, then you are a sick M......

Typical CON response. Base an opinion on something that you know nothing about and refuse to learn about.

I watched the trailer to it, and yes it was erotic type dancing.  Who would watch a bunch of prepubescent girls doing erotic dance moves except young boys, pedophiles, or other girls of that age that think it's a mature way of dancing.  This isn't the Soul Train line that I used to watch back in the 70's and 80's.  It's promoting sexual behavior at a young age in my opinion.  As seen with the young girl from Senegal who is a Muslim or it appears to be that way from the trailer, her mother is wants her to dress modestly, but she finds escape by dressing provocatively, and dancing in a lewd way.  If you're for 8-12 year old girls doing that on television then I would say you're promoting pre-teen sexuality.  It appears some girls are close to puberty.  I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to watch it.  I have heard that it does show some nudity.  In that case it should be Rated R as "Blue Lagoon" and "Endless Love" were.  I bring that up, because I know that she was under 18 when those films were shot, and there was an uproar over those movies then.  I have never seen either of those movies.

I realize this movie is allegedly criticism of adolescent sexuality, but wouldn't you want to do it in another way rather than exploiting it instead ?  This seems to be counterproductive in what the French filmmaker is attempting do do.  It's actually showing that it's "cool or hip" for little girls to be doing these things.
