Paris(3-1) @ Melissa(4-0)

Just like I stated before in a thread.......if the underlings taking orders from the elitists can dictate policies to restrict Texas high school football games and get away with little or no opposition, then those directing the frauds figure they can get away with pretty much anything they want to do next without opposition.  Afterall......football in Texas is almost a religion.......but God-ordained because of all the good that comes from it.  You really don't have to do much research at all to determine what's real and what's fraudulent, and who is in line to benefit.  Just use the brains that God gave you and the discernment to know right from wrong and good from evil.

Woke up this AM to the notice that Paris has cancelled their next two games, not only this week vs. Melissa but next week vs. Anna as well.

I'll leave the political insights to others and turn my viewing attention, instead, to Stars-Lightning Game 4 tonight.  Trust the bubble.

Boy, I hate that for the Paris kiddos. This takes the wind out of the sails a little bit. Apart from the PG game, the Wildcats were on a nice roll to start the season. Not sure what this cancellation and next week's cancellation will do to them in the standings, but it hurts, no matter what.

Hopefully they can get healthy and get back on track.

Also, all of this feels silly. Cancelling a football game over a virus. And I'm not one of the anti-masker's, or someone who thinks the virus is a plandemic or a hoax or anything like that. I believe it's a real thing. I believe it spread like wildfire and caused lots of problems globally. And I believe there were some drastic steps that were necessary early on to get a handle on it. But I think making teams forfeit and have to cancel games because of it is just a bit silly now that we've seen about a year's worth of what this virus can/will do. And what are we going to do as we roll into fall and the annual influenza season comes on? How do we tell the two apart? Do we need to distinguish? Do we have to quarantine kids who have the seasonal flu for 10 days? Do we have to quarantine those in their household for 14 days? Those are the questions I've been asking at all the admin meetings I've been in with the school district I work for.

All of this really ####. I would play a game on the field and lose than gain a win by forfeit. When non-district games were just cancelled it was disappointing to those teams but when district games start being forfeited it is a huge mess with impacting seeding...now imagine the playoff matchup forfeits that will likely happen as well. A few weeks ago I thought we had a chance of making it thru December and crowning champs, but really starting to wonder.

On a positive note I watched the replay of the Argyle-Fairfield 2013 state championship game yesterday afternoon on FSSW and what a fantastic game that was. The Ian Sadler-Larry Rose show with knockout blows all throughout.

The state of Texas now maintains a Public Schools COVID-19 dashboard.  Schools are required to report their cases on a weekly basis and the data is supposed to be updated each Wednesday.

https://dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/schools/texas-education-agency/

Yesterday, I was able to download a district-by-district data file.  This morning the link was taken down.  There may be a legitimate explanation, but I'm curious to know why.

I really feel deep empathy for everyone associated with the Paris football program......but esp. those players and coaches that have put in so much time, energy, and hard work to form the team they have this season.  I'm also fairly certain that these ridiculous testing measures put into place by the UIL which were dictated and mandated by the Governor of the Great State of Texas.......stupid, draconian measures without substance but politically correct according to those in positions of authority........allowed the UIL to extend its authority to show other schools and everybody paying attention just how politically correct it will be.......regardless of the consequences to others.  So go stick that in your pipe and smoke it........Texas high school football fans!!  I feel like it may be time to dig out the old "Come and Take It" flag and wave it around.  How much more proof do we need to realize that now Texas has also been infiltrated to its core with socialistic Gestapho dictates that continue to break apart the tenets of common sense, community function, and family life???  Where are all the good men and women in our state that should fight for what is decent and righteous ???  I guess they are NOT in our government or the school systems, Huh?

I don't like the way the UIL runs things.

There are a lot of things that need to be changed for the better.

It's quite obvious to those that have done any research at all concerning this virus that the decisions made by those in charge of our state government and the UIL are complicit to the demands of those who exert power and authority over them.  How could any "educational" entity NOT be in a position to do their own research and make decisions based upon scientific proof over many years by experts in the health industry???  The UIL has shown its colors and is GUILTY.......regardless of the consequences to the masses......including all of its member schools and their employees.  Same for the Governor and other state agencies of Texas.

You guys realize the UIL had zero to do w/Paris and the forfeit right?

The UIL doesn't mandate testing of any sort, when to cancel games or how canceled games are handled that decision is left up to the local schools...the decision to not play was solely that of Paris ISD in consultation with local health authorities....the decision to forfeit the game was agreed upon by the DEC

OK. Thanks MS.

(But still there are other things that the UIL does that I don't think are the best way... LOL).
